Again I refer back to my statement, the Undead can be held back, but the Northern cities are lost, fighting for them is a waste of innocent lives and money we don't have.

((since everyone raged when we tried to tax people expanding the city is the only way to make money, seems weird but thats the way it works))

*Kendrick ponders for a long while then, with a heavy sigh, walks away*

I can't bring myself to choose one. While I did talk to Pampo often and he was a fair and down to earth king we can not ignore the fact that he CHOSE Edmund to be his Seneschal. The former king, who seems to be so very popular, would not make such a critical choice without knowing what he was doing. I've fought alongside Edmund and dealt with him in business endeavors before he even came to power. Those who say Edmund is responsible for the North are ignorant of the world around them and would rather blame their problems on the man in charge than themselves. I was there when Edmund charged the undead keep with his army. I was there when he built half of Alstion up from the ground after the undead attack. And I'm still here, as he sends us reinforcements and supplies to defend our home in the North. Pampo was a great king, and it would be hard for any person to follow him, but I more than believe Edmund has earned his title.

*Notices Bretts note

You say the Northern Settlements have fallen. Name the settlement of the North which ave been destroyed by undead. Snowy Fields, yes. Alstion, yes but it is being rebuilt. Winterfell, no. There is still one untouched northern settlement and you say that the North is lost? Sure many men don't defend it, even the King has decreed that he cannot send men to reinforce her walls but I stand there, vigilant, ready to protect what little a foothold we still have in the North.

You expect brave and honest men of Oren and Al'khazar to rush to the aid of those who were too selfish and stubborn to leave the cities in the first place, they may justify it as some kind of heroic stand against the Undead but are truly selfish and stubborn individuals to expect that the men of Oren would sacrifice the lives they so willingly put on the line.

Khaene's knuckles go white as his grip on his sword hilt tightens in contained rage. Selfish and stubborn!? What would this Southerner have us do, uproot all the families and refugees and live in Al'khazars alleyways like so many beggars and filth? I'm sure looking out the window from his lofty multi-thousand minas mansion and seeing the huddled masses would boost this Southerner's over-inflated sense of self-worth, but it is no way to live. No, we fight for those in the North because we have no where else to go. We fight because our homes are in Alstion and Snowy Fields and, last I checked, we are part of the Kingdom of Oren. I can only be glad that King Sheffeild hasn't forgotten that. Our call to aid was not meant for the likes of you, it's true as you say, it was meant for brave and honest men.

I wonder what tune he'll be singing if the North falls and the undead come knocking on his door? Let's pray we never find that out. Despite his hostile attitude to us, I would never wish that on anyone. If the North falls, the remnants of our forces will fight on, fighting the Undead every step of the way South.

*reads over his response letter in the harsh glare of the Al'khazar late afternoon sun. The anger and rage within him had clearly flowed through the quill and onto the paper as evidenced by his hastily scrawled and uneven caligraphy. Letting out a carefully measured breath to cool his temper, Khaene crumpled up his response and tossed it aside, worried at what he was becoming. Some scars run deeper than the cut, but a war of words will not do anyone any good. What we need is action.

*Finds crumbled paper on the ground. Opens it, reads it and replies.*

I agree, my friend. Brett has always hated the North and he tries to make Edmund hate the North too. I hope Brett is fired for he is very corrupt he is also biased against everyone who doesn't live in the South.

Any king would be better then the one we have now, as only a king out of his mind would put down poor sand miners requests who just wanted a simple sand mine.

If taxes are the problem then I have the answer. Make passports, this would make it easyer for the guards, and you could tax it. The undead can't get in, and the kings coffers increase.

Good idea. Maybe we could have a building just outside of Alkhazar where you get passports. You should have to prove your not Undead((but in a way that sneaky Undead can still get a passport))and pay 300 minas. Then you are allowed into Alkhazar. So the guards know who has a passport or not there should be a list updated regularly in the gatehouse.((If we did this via plugin then the person who gave you the passport could add you to "/passport list" using a command like "/addpassport [mc name]" and then guards can check if you have a passport with a command like "/passport list".))

occ: There isn't a pugin for that, and it would be a realy big list, but we could youse books, from my understanding you can tell who wrote them, haveing a list of the passport scribs, and the have the name of the passport owner on it, and who wrote it out as well and some offical babble.

The names only perpose serves so if he fallls in battle the one who beat him doesn't get the passport.

((The person who gives the passport writes the book and titles it "passport". Then they just write the mc name of the person who owns the passport in the book, nothing else. Then they put it in one of the chests for passports. They should have tons of chests to fit all the passports(that only the people who sell the passports and high ranked can open) and then when someone wants to come into Alkhazar, a guard checks if they have a passport. If they do it this way then they know that every passport they have is authentic.))
