Event Planners, MC Names:

I leave this to the ET

Event Type:

Long-term skirmish-type events

Event Date:

6/6/2014 - Until deceased

Factions/Nations effected by the event:

Oren

Event Location:

Kaphro area, for the start.
(Not the town itself. I just don't have a name for the swamplands.)

The Swamplands

Summary:

The creatures for the event:

Plague Bearer

Physical Descriptive:

Noted as a common rat, though humanoid in the respect that it typically stands upright.

On it’s hind legs, it stands at roughly 5 feet tall.

On all fours, stands at roughly 2 feet.

Bodily frame is equivalent to that of the common man, obvious bodily differences aside.

Lacking in any truly notable strengths, and is generally clumsy.

Oddly enough, the creature’s hands and feet are closer to that of an ape than the common rat, allowing usage of crude tools.

Habitats:

Typically resides in moist locations.

Swamplands, along rivers and near smaller bodies of water.

On occasion, the creatures make their way into sewage systems and resevoirs.

Further Notes:

The creatures prefer moist environments due to increased bodily temperatures. As such, the creatures are never seen in deserts.

The Creatures typically avoid Colder climates due to lack of vegetation.

Due to it’s weak frame and clumsy nature, the creatures maintain a pack mentality, relying entirely on numbers and rush tactics in times of conflict.

The creatures, like typical rats, have teeth that never cease to grow. As such, they gnaw on nearly anything that comes into their field of view.

While the creature is seen gnawing on wood, it doesn’t actually consume the wood. Instead, the creatures are omnivorous, consuming vegetation, molds, mosses and rodents.

The creatures maintain a hivemind of sorts, no singular creature standing out as a leader and each simply following the other, aiding in any manner it can.

The creatures are capable of creating crude stone tools and in times of combat, have been seen wearing bits of leather armor.

Purpose:

Throw away short-term creatures meant for petty events and entertainment.

Not meant to be tamed and trained for personal use or anything of this nature.

The Creature is to act as a mini-nation and stage assaults until defeated via siege and/or Large Group invasion/retaliation.

General Idea for the Creature in terms of appearance.

http://ts1.mm.bing.net/th?id=HN.608025940316064196&pid=15.1

The Creatures would live in a shanty town with a disorganized palisade encompassing the settlement.

If needed, I could go and make an example build or sorts.

Other Information:

Ask as needed. Should I need to give an influx of information, by all means, ask. But I suggest that it only relates to the event.

While I intend for this event to have a bit of PvP, I would prefer that majority of it maintains RP combat.

Do you need the Event Team's assistance?:

Of course.

If so, do you require actors and/or builders?:

This would require both. And in bulk, when available.

I have no project until 4.0, so I'd be free to play an actor in this if desired.

Those warhammer/40k fans, does this remind you at all of Skaven?

Ahaa!!! Far too incompetent and lacking in intelligence, this group. Skaven would be a bit OP for LoTC. Hell, anything from Warhammer would be too OP for LoTC.

I would recomend not having a town, it would be destroyed pretty quickly and there goes your event race...

Which is entirely fine.

All about RP Dynamics.

Hate to post a double but, in the event that this is done, the ET member(s) that take this up, I'll need to toss you a bit of info regarding weaknesses and such that aren't going to be common knowledge without prior RP.

Thanks.

Plague bearers are accepted lore, look at the wildlife of Anthos and you'll see the plague bearer sub article.
