The primary problem with all of these new cultures springing up is that is divides Elvenkind as a whole. We are, and by we I mean Haelun'or, currently trying to unite the Elves together into a singular bonded state. This is made difficult when new cultures or sub-races who are, or can be, inherently hostile to our people or are inherently impure in the eyes of our government seem to pop up from nowhere in particular.

 

Your motives, in making a whole new culture to both inject new RP and a new hub if I am so correct in guessing them, are well placed.. but also unneeded. I would suggest instead forming this culture in RP, finding random people who agree with your ideals and religion, proselytizing... you know, the works.

 

While I fully understand that you do not intend your culture to... **** things up, for no better wording. Neither did our chilly friends who took very recently a great deal of pleasure in gutting High Elves, Wood Elves, and Dark Elves. And look where that got us. You can understand why we'd be hesitant.

I said earlier in this somewhere, on a post, that I was going to go to Haelunor from safety and such. If we do make a new hub, it'll be in 4.0, but while I do want to join up with all the other elves, the issue is our culture is filled with half-breeds, so we might just get pvp'd.

Guys. It's a culture. Let selves do selves and snelves do snelves. Haelun'Or, you have made a pitiful attempt at uniting people from an IC perspective ( OOC you guys seem pretty chill ), such as when a mali'aheral with a prosthetic comes seeking homes and you turn him away because of the prosthetic? The whole purity requirement turns away elves who don't quite fit the standard. This is unification of the elves who have perfect blood. Haelun'Or and the other elvish towns are equally dividing the elves. The days of united elves and Malinor are gone. We've already all split up, adding another culture won't change much.

 

Hating on it just because it is new is what divides the server OOCly. These guys are playing characters with no special powers or things, so they aren't breaking any rules. Let them do them, and you pure elves, stay inside your walls of purity.
