A MISSIVE TO ELHEIAL'VALAH,

THE COUNCIL OF HUMANS:

I write this document in hopes of further demonstrating the goodwill that Mali'lye, Elvenkind, has to offer to Valah'lye, Humankind. This is by no means limited to the governing body of Mali that you have often interacted with: I write to you as a private citizen of Lin'ame that shall inform you all of my offer.

I shall take upon myself two human children as pupils that I, carrying more than two centuries of wisdom, shall instruct. The topics that the students shall be exposed to and the skills that they shall master are here listed:

  • HISTORICAL AND POLITICAL ANALYSIS
    • The students shall learn of the intersecting history between humankind and elvenkind through the ages. Such tutelage shall include important events such as the forming of Haelun'or in Asulon, the animosity between Malinor and her aforementioned sister state, the degeneration of Malinor, the unfortunate period of elven anarchy and the Orenian response to it.

    • The students shall also be informed about broader historical events that have influenced the current international politics. Political declarations across many different events of history shall be read and analyzed for insight into the minds of their authors.
  • CULTURAL INSIGHT
    • The students shall understand the cultural traits that differentiate the three elven peoples, as well as how to interact with each. The principles of high elven purity, wood elven restraint, and dark elven virtue shall be covered in detail.

    • The students will be tutored in basic speech of the elven tongue. This shall include many common phrases and words, but full fluency is not expected to be reached within the allotted instructional time.

    • The students shall learn of human governments, elven governments, human leaders and elven leaders. From which of both races' government styles and leadership roles have succeeded while others have failed, it shall be understood why both races require the governments and the leaders that they have.
  • INTERRACIAL SKILLS AND SELF-CONDUCT
    • The students shall be shown the value of willpower and personal discipline, which are essential components in the life of any mortal, whether Man or Mali.

    • From all instruction that covers matters of Mali'lye (elvenkind) and Valah'lye (humankind), the two students shall bring from my tutelage unique and  precious wisdom. Those who are learned in both human and elven standards could have a significant role to play in the present era of Crimson-Silver.

The greatest effects of my tutelage shall be realized if both students are also educated in their traditional human way by a man of faith, so that they may develop a proper moral code. My teaching shall last between one and several elven months, and I would desire that all applicant pupils be between ten and fifteen years of age.

I request that the Privy Council make copies of this document and send them to houses and families that you deem potentially interested, able or qualified. Each shall have one parent of the applicant write a paragraph explaining the qualifications of their child and any educational background they or their child may have. You may deliver such sealed applications to Lin'ame, where they shall be forwarded to my inspection. After, I shall inform the Privy Council of my two selections and then we may all begin this endeavor.

Peace and Poise,

Asthil of the Haumel Bloodline

Dedrick Varodyr then works hard to pen a proper letter to Asthil Haumel.

"Asthil Haumel,

Here included is the brief recommendation letter that I have been instructed by Lord Roy to write.

Ipera Carrion is born Raev and of 15 years of age. Being a sister to two brothers and having loosing their parents in a young, she has certainly grown into a sensible young woman. From a young age, she has learnt to take duties in a strict and responsible manner, though may lack individual opinion because of such. In addition, the result of the constant state of conflict in the world, Ipera is one that is extremely protective to the ones she cares about. It may be noted that she dislikes judgement on the basis of social status.

With this letter I have hopes that you will accept her as pupil and see to that another life may blossom to full potential.

Respectfully,
Dedrick Varodyr"
