*Notices are posted around the city of Kal’Arkon, upon closer inspection they read*

I have pondered for a while, and have finally reached a decision. Recently I have begun to loathe my job as Lord Paladin, combined with my duty to the clan. Over the years I have worked hard to improve on the culture that separates each dwarf from another. This I have invested nearly all of my time in, encouraging other clans and dwedmar to spread their own culture, and to help spread the knowledge. This is how i have combined my duties as Lord Paladin with my duties as Clan Father, improving the culture of my clan, while setting an example for others to follow. I was greatly disappointed however, when nobody else followed very far, during the Coronation planning I had set places up for clans to present their culture, I had battled with a few to get their displays set up, while others complied without any resistance. By the end, only one clan had failed to put up a display, the ones that were done had looked next to perfect for their culture. However on the day of the coronation the majority of the attendants refused to move and look at the displays, leaving all their hard work to rot.

But that matters not, for the real reason I am writing this is to tell you of how the corruption spreads, even unintentionally. When I first came to the kingdom a few elven weeks before Thorin’s reign, Lord has been something I have strived to obtain, to earn my seat near the Grand King. I had no friends on the council, I had worked myself up from the ground to get where I am, and when Wulfgar called my name i rejoiced that I had finally made it. However, the job was not the glorious seat it had been before, The Lords were cursed and spitted on as corrupt since the reign of Indago, and the whole way we worked was counter-productive, few got done, good or bad little changed. The Lords would twist words and actions to their favor, they would lie and deceive and try to sway people to their side with sweetened words.

People complain about the Lords, they despise them and look for their King’s for change, but every attempt failed. I entered the council over a hundred times more true than I am leaving it, for even if you try to hold to honor and remain true the nature of how the council works changes you. Lord is not the same position as it was before in the days of Kal’Azgoth, I am ashamed to be a Lord, I have done things dishonorable, things I would've never done had I not taken up the seat of Lord Paladin. I am ashamed to call myself Lord Paladin, I am ashamed of what I had done, I have failed, so long as the Lord’s Council stays as it is I want no part of it any longer.

I have written this notice to explain as to why I am resigning from Lord Paladin of the Grand Kingdom of Urguan, lest change overtake the nation I will not be moving for my seat again.

Vorstag slowly shakes his head, "Well, however bad he betrayed me at least he hated the other corrupt Lords"
