Now that you're back can you actually make the GM team enforce this rule.

 

 

• If you run away from a fight with little or no roleplay, then the other player can attack you via PvP! Make sure that you emote it, roleplay it fully and give them time to react in roleplay. However, yelling at a running player that is not involved in your roleplay to stop or fight is not grounds to PvP them if they do not stop.

 

I see countless incidents where this rule has been broken. For example, you are walking on a road and somebody says halt, you carry on walking and you end up dead. This is breaking this rule and it really needs to be enforced because everybody ignores it.

Viper, I hope you actually evict the terrible GM's Instead of the ones you like. I've seen this happen every time somone says they are fixing it, and GM's Always get evicted because some other GM doesn't like them.

I hope you get rid of the GM's Who don't do anything but play league, of course.

 

The various GMs banning people for doing something they personally don't like really shouldn't be on staff to begin with, if a tolerant community is what we're trying to achieve. And that's not me justifying any other real rule breaking, I've never been banned.  Just being real.

 

Sounds like a major step in the best direction, Viper, all across the board.  However... I think you're failing to realize that the server's gonna be nigh dead if this doesn't come out over the next week.

I don't recall anything being said about 4.0 being supposed to be released in Feb. On top of that 3.0 go the same treatment in terms of delays, don't know why it should surprise anyone or be a reason to cry.

Definitely not, we've always said we'll take as long as necessary in-order to not release something that isn't done!

Well I guess LOTC will be dead by the time you release it. Over half the server already stopped logging on because there is no point. I mean no offense but nothing matters anymore and it has all grown extremely dull. Another month may just pound the wooden stake in.

It's not just a build, the build is pretty much done. It's important we have videos explaining the plugins and a theatrical video go along side the switch. Once Telanir is back from Panama, I can make the videos with him we just don't want to release it before we have these important things - I'm sorry your hype died off, hopefully it returns.

There was 120 people on yesterday, doesn't seem dire enough to force a rushed rrelease (like we've done every other time before, with not-so-great results!)

In all seriousness, I completely understand and respect you don't want to release an unfinished map, however the Fringe has grown dull and boring. Instead of just bein' like 'Just wait!', why not try to have some ET's or  people like that make a huge Fringe-wide event that will want to bring people in and possibly conclude 3.5, having us go into 4.0? Not too be rude, but I haven't really seen an ET do an event in quite a while. Well, an enjoyable one.

 

Also, the summer is (well, was) the most active time of LotC. What's the good of moving to a brand new map at the END of summer? Summer for me is about 2/5th's over already.

At this point, I'd have more fun running around on a DarkRP server on garrys mod than the Fringe.  Anything is better than the Fringe.  Put us on undead-occupied Anthos!

 

'Unfinished' 4.0 has got to be better than the Fringe by far.

 

To add insult to injury, the people getting banned for doing stupid stuff (or what certain GMs don't like) as a result of how immensely, colossally bored they are on the Fringe will mean they're not able to partake in the community when it's actually enjoyable to partake in.  This is ridiculous, people.  I'm asking everybody here, regardless of nation or OOC connections, to be realistic.

 

Staff, who are you trying to market toward exactly?  What are your goals here?

 

It sounds like you're trying to market to new players instead of keeping the ones you already have.  If you want to do the latter (as the general consensus says you should) then we need something new and we need it fast.  Put us back on Anthos til 4.0 is out, hell, that would be way more fun than the temp maps.  Might bring the cancer war to an end, too, if there's scourge everywhere.  Take some decisive action here, don't leave us waiting.  Hear out what the memberbase is saying.  That's all I've got to say.

Yes, those 120 people are PVP and item hungry faction members looking to simply kill. There is no RP. RPing in the fringe is nonexistent. I am trying to wait. I was willing to wait when they said early July. Now this huge bomb is dropped on us. Summer is almost over. A lot of people wanted to use some of their spare time to enjoy the new map. But from the looks of it it won't happen.
