Yep, totally the most important part of his well written response that offered problems, and solutions.

Well, fun police is here... Sorry for making a joke. Sheese. I thought my only job was to make sure everyone was having fun? :P

Pretty much what you said. And with your suggestion of cleaning out the staff teams, Viper said he's going to begin doing that rather shortly.

The players need to realize that the GM's are still people and just because you don't see them doing what you want to be done, it does not mean that they are not doing their job. GM's are only a part of providing your fun, the task belonging to the staff in its entirety. But, I do notice that player feedback of often times overlooked or said to be noted, then nothing is done and it's tossed to the side.

Overall, I feel the gap between players and the staff grows larger every day, and the only way to fix many of our problems is to close said gap. No more of this player vs. staff garbage, we need to come together as a community. Perhaps more communication between staff and players would be a great help, we want to know what's going on. And please, try to tone down the hate.

EDIT: I apologize for the double post.

This is starting to feel like an occupy forums movement where the players are the 99%

I see no reason why people would dislike 3.5.5, considering when 3.0 and 3.5 came out people complained about the plugins and asked why they weren't tested before launch for both bugs and the communities opinion one them, this is what 3.5.5 is hoping to achieve and if the only reason you're against it is because "no-rp" reasoning, I wholeheartedly trust there to be a reason to move over, even if it was as cliche as "oh no Gaius is leading an army of super intelligent Buddhist monks to force peace down our throats, oh no let's skedaddle!"

Because instead of releasing 4.0 that the playerbase waited over four months for, you released another temp map without knowing exactly when 4.0 will be released, and by the time the next temp map stagnates, we're back to square one with the fringe. You could have started fun events, or given the players some excitement.

I don't mean to rush the staff, but since you decided that it's okay to release 3.5.5. The new map better come fast, or you will end up losing a lot of players.

Temp maps are nice. I like them, but they are only good when they are not prolonged more than necessary.

I hate temp maps, they make me feel like none of the buildings or resources i'm gathering are going to matter.

The biggest bonus for us is being able to test the 4.0 plugins on a a large scale which will ensure 4.0 will be much smoother and find ways to better acclimate them, so I'm very glad for that.

This is what I was getting at Cyndi.

Floating spires of bedrock everywhere are pretty immersion breaking, wouldn't you say?

The OP says that we'll have it by the end of the month. If that's true, which we should all be inclined to believe, great. We get to play on 4.0, huzzah.

If not, then chill. If they're holding the map off, there's a good reason, and jumping down the staff's throat and disheartening them is literally about the most counterproductive thing you could do.

Honestly I'd rather wait a month for a good map that has all the intended and runs smoothly and staff know what's going on, then wait a week and have to sob at not getting help because the staff is so bogged down with player complaints about bugs and what not. True nothing we build is really permanent, but then instead of building a homestead and collecting and long term plans the players can focus on each other and get some good Rp. Maybe make new and stronger alliances with people to carry over to 4.0, after all this server is about RP and not who has the shiner sword.

Rather than crying about it that you are no entertained and that the map sucks, go RP and make things happen. There are so many ways to CREATE fun things, lack of effort from both sides is what I see nothing else. Blaming the staff for a boring map, it's not the maps job to make RP for you. Stop being plebs already cause you are not given RP on a silver plate. Get real please and put up some effort.
