My quips.

Shorten wait times for most things, except comples items and combat items.

Hinges need to be made of something other then Ferum. Either that or have the one ingot make atleast 4 hinges. Yes it doesn't really make sense in rp but it's just anoying to have to mine quite a bit before you can have a door.

I honestly like the farming system, I think it will get more people to live simply instead of having huge castles. People need to relise that farming was the proffesion that the majority of people would take up.

I am not a fan of this plugin.

 

I do not see the connection between crafting times and good RP. I do not understand how placing inhibitors and obstacles in players way at all enhances RP. Perhaps at the basic level of this plugin- the professions- some form of interesting interaction can come about as a result of needing certain supplies but as it is with these ridiculous wait times to craft anything, I'm left standing around rather than walking around and actually playing the game. I can't even leave my computer for too long without being kicked from the server, at least Facebook let's me leave. I do not want to live on Lord of the Craft, I want to be able to make an item I need quickly so that I can actually go and do something that is fun. Fun ought to be the main goal here and I am not getting anything really fun from staring at a crafting bench, refreshing an item in my inventory and counting down till the item is complete.

 

I'd really like to see the removal of wait times from just about everything related to crafting. Fun, engaging and interesting RP and interactions comes from the result of crafting. It comes from seeking people out and peddling your goods, or bringing people together in a town and having a purpose for everyone. None of that comes from the process of crafting a product, that is entirely a lonesome act and at this rate a restrictive, needlessly time consuming and irritating effect. I believe the wait times are very unnecessary, adds little if not takes away from RP and enjoyability of the server and turn LotC less into a game and more into a chore.

 

In short, remove the wait times.

Slash the wait times and I love the crafting system. It's the part of the plugin I like the best currently!

 

Keep the wait times as they and it's hours on hours of nuisance that prevents me from RPing. Nothing should have a wait of over ten minutes; it didn't take 30 minutes to, in great detail, Role-Play smithing a sword that was given an RP enchantment as well. I like the crafting time system, but I ******* despise the random **** that takes upwards of thirty minutes to craft. (Saddles, for instance.) Iron/Diamond Armor is the only thing that actually has a sensical wait time currently.

 

That being said, I wouldn't mind if non-function decoration blocks (Beds, Signs, etc.) didn't have crafting time tacked on to them for no reason.

 

Also, **** 'anti-afking' to goddamn hell and piss on it and stab it a few times for good measure. If you're going to implement crafting time you are not going to get away with kicking us when we go heat up a pizza when we wait.

Everything exceeds expectations besides wait times. If someone wants to proudly rp their craft, then let them do it, but don't force them. The skill plugin for smithing does enough.

Keep wait  times, increases value of items and makes shop keeps actually able to RP their jobs.  If you do not want to wait around and craft something.  You go to a shop keeper and buy it all ready crafted.  No one is making you create all your own items.  The worst part about this server is the self sustaining that one person alone can do.  The wait times incredibly decrease that.

I like the plugin except for the wait times, It's extremely inconvenient. I like the rest though.

 

 

I am fond of the plugin and I would only lessen the wait time, if not remove it altogether.

 

Basically my feelings on this plugin. Some people do not have time to wait to craft things, others don't want to waste time on crafting and I can't blame them. Everyone I speak to and I mean EVERYONE has a problem with the wait times. I'd suggest just reducing the times a decent amount. People want to RP, not sit by a crafting station for a few hours or so.

Remove the wait-times all together. It's been mentioned a bunch in great detail for why they must be removed. It's good role-play to seek out others of a specific craft to build your items, so that's a plus. Iron out the bugs and it'll be gucci!

Ok, new opinion.

 

Remove it completely.

 

Since when do we need COBBLESTONE to make a dang crafting bench? This is getting ridiculous. Remove the random additions to recipes and stop making us scramble around trying to make just the SIMPLEST and EASIEST stuff MC has to offer.

 

Want to make swords harder to craft, I am fine with that.

 

But stop messing with BASIC freaking recipes. Its getting irksome.

I love this plugin, though I can't play right now I think the over all addition of the plugin adds a lot of depth to RP by adding items players can RP with. The objective this plugin attempts to accomplish is nearly there but there are a number of issues.

 

Some of basic things that are literally aesthetic, or non important, a lot of items take a very long time to make. I think the cap on general items, that don't serve HUGE purposes should take less than 10 minutes. Mostly less than 5 minutes, maybe more than that but it depends on how much the crafting time is decreased after crafting the same item over and over. The most important aspect is that waiting times should be "Fair"

 

  • Some things I can understand that would take more than 10 minutes, such as saddles, armors, leather armor, anything involving metal or high craftsmanship, boats, mine carts, TNT (D: pleas add to server again) exc.
  • Keep wait times, they will encourage RP, most notably blacksmiths because people RP already during blacksmithing, and it makes it so that they can RP every part of it.
  • There are also a number of items that aren't available in game and I think adding those things would be nice.
  • I also think glass smithing should be a thing, being able to make glass, glass panes, glass bottles, and the different colored colored glass
  • Keep the times but most things have to be short, fair, and should take as long to make it as it would in RP. Or less for things that really don't require much rp like a button.
  • DON'T DE-LEVEL LEVELS IN OTHER AREAS WHEN YOU LEVEL ANOTHER. Just don't, there also shouldn't be negative levels, the base level should just be 0, while races start with a 2-5 level head start in certain areas, like races of dwarves getting bonuses to mining and smithing exc. Just use the Aegis/Asulon system of deleveling where you select a skill to de-level whenever you level a gain a level in your profession of choice. Also make the AI easier to see the "deleveling and turn xp gain on/off".

One thing I think players don't understand is that eventually it will take shorter times to make things, and eventually once they're proficient enough then they'll be able to make these items with ease. Keep the wait times, I think some players are playing the ignorant kid who wants everything to be easy for them, but I also think that some of them are right in that the wait times are extremely high. They shouldn't be realistic, they should just take time to make, while being "Fair"

 

Had I not been banned I'd probably have better feedback :)

I was thinking while I was looking at all the crafting... why does it have to be so hard?

 

There's all kinds of menus and stuff which leads to it being difficult to craft like... anything...

 

My idea: Make it so each work station opens to a crafting square where you can only make the specific things that the specific bench is for.

People with less blacksmith XP than me are crafting armour faster than me. Ferrum leggings for example, say they will take 30 minutes to craft, but when I actually begin crafting, they take 41 minutes. Not sure if this is a bug or I'm just missing something, but I thought I would mention it anyways.

Are you crafting something else at the same time? because the time for each item you craft will raise the next item. Supposibly to stop players from just making a lot of work stations to be faster.

Honestly, I suggest removing wait limits all together. This isn't Farmville, or a facebook app lol I just want to make a house, and RP. This is the huge issue for me. The time to wait for things.

 

Nerf is a better term. Not as long for wait times.
