Have you ever been banned or received a strike? If so, link the report:

I've been banned twice. Once for no-rp killing when I was a week old serverling, and once for 'unintentional metagaming' by asking someone to log in for a fight in an area he was logged off in. (mau5 called that second ban dumb and shortened my appeal date).

Both were over a year ago and I have lost the links.

Do you hold / have you held any other staff positions?

Nope

What MMORPG/video games have you / do you play? (Past and Present)

MMOs: Guild Wars 2, SWTOR, Runescape(?), Maplestory

Games: Assassin's creed, dragon age, witcher 1 + 2, Red Dead Redemption, GTA, Halo, Sleeping Dogs, etc.

What are your characters? Are you willing to sacrifice any to become a Event member?

I play Quin and Art, I'd be willing to sacrafice Art for the event team as that character is fairly purposeless and my aim by joining this team is to find purpose.

What race / group do you think your events would best cater to? If none in particular, give an example of the type of group that your events would entertain.

The reason I've decided to make an event team app is because recently I've been tasked to maintain the activity of the Realm of Aesterwald, a region with 91 members bound to our pillar, 38 of which are active.

There is a storyline being planned by non-ET members involving other player-run factions, however an ET's participation will be needed and I wish to be that ET.

That being said by no means do I expect my job to end should the storyline for Aesterwald stop or the nation ever fall. I am willing to do any number of events for anyone whenever I'm realistically available, upon request. However I believe the entire northern region of Athera (North of CT) is where the majority of my events will be based.

What do you believe are key factors for a successful event?

Cooperation, adaptability and reliability.

Cooperation is the basis of good relations between the ET and the players, for if there is no flexibility on the ET's part the players will get annoyed, which defeats the purpose of my job. That being to give them a good time. I don't intend to be a brick wall in the face of complaints and critisism and I fully plan on cooperating with my partners in RP during the events I coordinate.

Adaptability is a strong trait for someone going into a career of business like myself. And that skill transfers onto the virtual world of entertainment as well. A plan is important but nothing ever goes completely as one expects it too and it's important to adapt, i.e go with the flow to make sure an event goes smoothly.

Reliability. Punctuality falls under this category too. Obviously being reliable is essential to any job, Real world or minecraft fantasy. I intend to stick to my committments, never promise to to something or be somewhere I realistically cannot be or do, and obviously organize and plans my events above and beyond what is expected of me.

When was the last time you saw a event?

The 4.0 Transition.

What strengths could you contribute to the Event Team? Are you knowledgeable in lore or great at organizing?

I consider myself quite knowledgable in lore, having spent a lot of time within the magical community of lord of the craft. I know the ins and outs and little subtle details of many of the high fantasy elements of our server, as well as the low.

Being in the human RP community for awhile now I have also developed a good understanding of this server's contemporary IC politics. Therefore I am well versed in both current and background lore.

Organization is also a strong point of mine, especially in something I have a passion towards. I mentioned reliability in the previous question above and I refer to that again.

Why do you want to be part of the ET?

Because I don't believe most of the problems in this server spawn from players with intention ill-intent. I believe it comes from boredom. Often times playerbases with sizable numbers find themselves with nothing to do, nothing exciting that is. Some players can only chill in a tavern and flirt with e-women for so long before desiring some action, and hence turn into an antagonistic faction, raiding on the roads and angering people OOCly.

I don't believe these people are in the wrong for wanting to spice up their LOTC experience and I wish to give that experience to them in a way that is fun for all parties involved.

I also wish to see LOTC become more of a living breathing world with the events, storylines and dynamic plots I intend to make.

Create three distinct RP scenarios/events based on LOTC lore that you would organize. These are pitches to the Managers and Ouity, not to the community. Note: Not all of the group must be handled at once. Eg: 20+ people via 5 person increments in a dungeon.

1) For 1-3 person

For this event I would hide what appears to be an abnormally large egg in an obscure, but not impossible to find location. In a bed of straw. This would of course be the nest of one of the giant Eagle that swoop over the Northern skies of Aesterwald.

Should an adventurer find such an egg (I'll leave a sign next to it instructing them to PM me) one of many outcomes could occur.

The egg could be left alone to it's own device's ending the event.

Or, the player could choose to take the egg. Making him and his friends the immediate target of a very very very large motherly bird of prey. The player's job now is essentially choose whether or not to fight for the right to keep the egg, maybe gaining himself a giant eagle pet someday, or give it back to it's mother.

2) For a group of 5-10

The livestock of many northern towns has been dissapearing as of late. It seems some nature of beast, or perhaps a person has been making off with them. It seems that an expedition must be called upon to find the source of these dissapearances.

Clues by way of animal tracks, footprints and perhaps eye witnesses will lead the northerners to a ruin on the edge of a rainforest near Illicia, where odd and eldritch sounds come from within. It seems that whomever, or whatever has been making off with the good people's livestock resides in there.

However, instead of doing what is expected of such an event and simply providing the players with a beast or some sheep-sacraficing cultists to kill, I intend to mix it up a bit.

Perhaps such thieves are of the descendant races, taking out of poverty and pure necessity. Perhaps they are of a mythical nature, elemental imps of a mysterious and playful nature simply being the tricksters they are, the whole ordeal being their idea of a bit of fun.

3) For a group of 20+

When most people think of an event for 20 people they think of big battles, waves of PVE monsters and big flashy dragons.  Like most of my other ideas I plan on making mine more subtle and out the box.

In the river south of Aesterwald there lives a naiad. A spirit one with nature and at home in the lake. However once the town of Vanderfell had been established, an aquaduct had been built. This aquaduct funneled fresh water from the lake into the town for easy access towards it's residents. However, it also funneled out all the undesirable used waste back into the lake.

The naiad(s), now being faced with a polluted home, but not strong enough to take down the aquaduct herself, cunningly decides to turn the townsfolk against each other.

Through use of persuasion, coersion, bribing and even seduction the Naiad would approach many of the townspeople individually, each time as a different form. Offering different things. The promise of immortality in exchange for clogging the aquaduct, and so forth. She counts on the ignorance of humanity to manipulate them to further her means.

Ultimately it's up to the players to either accept or deny her offers. It has potential for creating great IC conflicts among a tight knit and large group of close RPers. The smarter characters in the community could launch an investigation to find out the motives of this naiad and perhaps even sympathize, leading to the dismantling of the Aesterwald Aquaduct.

This is at it's core an event to involve ALL members of the town, easily 20+ people. Perhaps not all of them at once, but this long going storyline would affect many people.

How long do you plan to stay in the ET?

For as long as I can stay reasonably active while keeping my IRL education as my priority in life.

He needs to overcome some of his OOC sourness before this, and perhaps be a bit less play-to-win.

I don't really think you'd be doing this for the sake of others considering interactiions Ive witnessed with you and short ones Ive had with you that I quickly just didn't want to be involved in. I'm sure you don't remember some of them, of course, they were actually rather short.

So -1, because I don't want to see what happens when people don't play one of your events your way.

You mention interactions you've had with me but I don't recall ever once RPing with you. Perhaps some context to those isolated situations would be useful to provide your critizisms with more substance because right now they just seem to be baseless personal opinion. With all due respect of course

Well rounded guy, knows his lore and I come to him if I have questions about that sort of stuff. I enjoy role playing with him and I think he could bring a lot of nice role play to others.

Leowarrior and I have had certainly a rather rocky relationship, however I confidently confide he would do a fine job as ET. Even though we have had our fair share of arguments, he hasn't let that get in the way of bringing good events and general RP towards others. +1

Personally I've all around found your RP somewhat powergamey at times the few times I've RPed with you, and your OOC attitude leaves much to be desired. -1 from me.

Leowarrior, though I don't dislike you and in the past I found your RP rather fun and your OOC attitude great, I don't think you'd make a good ET member. As stated before, you have a play-to-win roleplay style, you tend to powergame your magic, and you can at times, develop a rather nasty attitude, going as far as to make yourself out to be a victim when you are involved with ban reports. With that being said, you tend to show up in ban reports from time to time, more often than the average player. As cool a guy as you are, I don't think you could handle the responsibility that is the event team.

To those who -1's, many of your concerns are directly addressed in the original app so once again I encourage you to read it before you see my name attached to an ET app and immediately decide to shoot it down.
