Step 2: A Nexus Region Compromise

I don't like nexus regions either but you all need to understand the intent behind the plugin in the first place. It's to keep roleplay centralized and to keep roleplay accessible to all players. I'll admit that the plugin was initially poorly executed and didn't fully achieve its purpose and land claiming on a huge map was not a good idea to begin with. The other issue behind it is that the players resisted its purpose by living in their own world. I have no issue with that in itself, as long as it doesn't interfere with roleplay accessibility and weakening other places that could have been stronger RP hubs with at least 10-15 players in one place and not 3 players per settlement lucky enough to have players.

Salvus back when I first started had more than 10 players at one time. The RP there was thriving and fun. Even outside of peak, there'd be enough players to get by.

We need more places like this. Places like Salvus. Not have to spend 30 minutes at a time looking for people to interact with. No one should have to put up with that everyday, and we need to keep our new players from facing the same issues some of us have faced or they will leave the day they walk in.

What's my point? If this plugin is going to be removed or altered, it needs to do a better job keeping to its true purpose.

For some odd reason I am currently unable to quote others, but in response to

The people are represented by the majority, and the majority have voted against the plugin if I am not mistaken. Just because you have a differing opinion does not mean you should have your way. I was speaking on behalf of the polls, in which, once again, the majority voted in favor of its removal.

Yes, but can we not do this the same way governments do elections and voting? It's basically the exact same thing.

Most people don't vote.

So, can you without a shadow of a doubt say to us that you know seventy people (that hasn't voted already) that want to keep the nexus regions?

Why is it that we have to "compromise" with the staff as if they are a separate entity? Why must we alienate each other, the staff serve the players, and the staff ARE players. The community, I.E., the players, said they did not want this plugin. What is not made clear to the staff team that nexus regions are something we do not want? If you are not working for what the people want, staff team, what is it you're working for?

I'm sorry, I believe you may have misunderstood Roggvir. This is a compromise between one set of player's wishes and another set of player's wishes, not a compromise between staff and players.

This compromise was made to ensure that there could also be proper feedback received from all ends with a fixed and fully functional and operational plugin-- which we were, unfortunately, missing prior to this moment.

Does that make sense? In no way was any alienation intended between "staff" and "players", because we are one, not separate. :)

In case anyone hasn't noticed, the activity counter is only "Active" if you are currently online.  The second you log out, you become "Not Active."
