Hey. So I was thinking why are there no tavern/bar songs in Lotc. Like in skyrim how you have "Ragnar the Red", "the Dragonborn Comes" and so on. So why don't these exist in Lotc? (If they do exist I have yet to find any, other than the elvish folk songs that have recently been posted). So I am drafting a few songs and such just so they can be out there, who knows maybe there could be some cool event with them. -MC

I believe that songs were also written concerning battles during the Fringe War when Oren and the Bloc clashed in multiple battles. They were written by Aetosion. Unsure what happened to them.

Once the Dwarven library is re-established by me with the new capital, I will have all the tavern music we have in a sectioned off part of the library. Most of it will be Dwarven tavern music.

I like to sing some, like I have the Beer Song from Bard's Tale written out.

Beer, Beer, Beer, tiddly beer, beer, beer

A long time ago way back in history

When all there was to drink, was nothing but cups of tea.

Along came a man by the name of Charlie Mopps,

And he invented a wonderful drink and he made it out of hops.

Hey!

He must have been an admiral, a sultan, or a king.

And to his praises we shall always sing.

Look at what he's done for us, he's filled us up with cheer.

Lord Bless Charlies Mopps the man who invented Beer, Beer, Beer, tiddly beer, beer, beer

The Drunken Rat, the Aiken Drum, the Trowles Pub as well,

One thing you can be sure of, it's Charlies' beer they sell

So all ye lads and lasses at eleven o'clock ye stop.

For five short seconds, remember Charlies Mopps.

One, Two, Three, Four, Five...

Hey!

He must have been an admiral, a sultan, or a king.

And to his praises we shall always sing.

Look at what he's done for us, he's filled us up with cheer.

Lord Bless Charlies Mopps the man who invented Beer, Beer, Beer, tiddly beer, beer, beer

A barrel of malt, a bushel of hops, you stir it around with a stick.

The kind of lubrication to make your engines tick.

forty pints of wallop a day will keep away the quacks.

Its only eight pence ha-penny, and one and six in tax.

One, Two, Three, Four, Five...

Hey!

He must have been an admiral, a sultan, or a king.

And to his praises we shall always sing.

Look at what he's done for us, he's filled us up with cheer.

Lord Bless Charlies Mopps the man who invented

Beer, Beer, Beer, tiddly beer, beer, beer, tiddly beer, beer, beer.

The Lord bless Charlie Mopps! ♫ Hey!

I seem to remember a catchy tune about the King of Oren growing tired of his marriage and eating his wife in public. Was quite a catchy tune if memory serves me right. I know Delsalva once held many books of tunes within his tower also. I'm sure if you look around long enough a few will still surface.

I looked at all the links that have been posted so far, all the songs are good. As far as wording and rhyme scheme and so on.What if once the dwarfish library is re-established I think it would make for some cool RP if we could meet and "teach" if you will, the songs to characters or bards. Or who ever wants to learn it. I just thought that it would be a cool event RP type thing. PM me if you are interested. -MC
