Zarsies 6795 Share Posted December 9, 2014 The curved, pointed tip of a talon stabbed down into the crinkled paper, slashing the final line within the last page of the insidious tome. With its sentence finished, the frail hand that placed the period pulls above the book. It flicks its middle finger off towards the side and the text slams shut with a heavy, thunderous thud in the muted surroundings. Pearly eyes gazes down upon the horrid, beastly metal carving that adorned the front cover of the book; its clenched fangs acted as anchors for a set of darkened chains that wrapped around the script, although they were limp and cast aside with no restriction around the script. The same gaunt hand lowered, stabbing its middle digit into the maw of the book. A flow of hazy, liquidated taint bled from its nail and spewed into the grizzly mouth. An equally misted light bloomed from the etched edges of the seal as its teeth suddenly sprung to life, walking the chain in swiftly like a set of gears. The wrappings snapped around the book, encasing it in the cold embrace of mail. The dank stench of sulfur roamed the air of the bleak, oven-like, arid chamber of which the book rose from. The black tome left its onyx desk where it was forged, being carried on down the tenacious tower. Illumination cast from magma and churning lava pits lit the descend of the tome and its carrier, taking it down to the portal array. The spindly host and its new catalyst stepped through one of the rubbled, worn gateways and with it dawned the mortal realm with a new threat. Just as the being slipped through the eerie, mauve pane of writhing light an abyssal voice stamped deeply within the Heart of Drauchreim. It sung, "T̡̹͔̤͌̆̀̓h̴̻͕͖̙͖͇̲̠̍ͫ̅̉ͭe̴̡͔̻͈̤͚̲̐̅͊͒ͣ̕ ͕̗̯̟̣̭̾̑̕N͇̝ͣͣ̐̔̕e̸̟̦ͭ̅ͣ̓ͨ͘c̷̛͔̯̫͙̅̿̋̅̿̒̀ṟ̫̇ͭ́ͦͮͯ̋̂̀̕o̳̜̳ͮͫ̅ͯͦ̈̒͘ͅn͈̼͎̗͕̰͚͑̽ȏ҉͔̞͎̰͢m̶̡̫̞̫͉̙̹͔̯̃ͩ͒̑̏̐̔̌i̶̢̡̜̫ͥ̎ͣ͒͊̓ͨ̚ć͖͈̤͓̤̯̠̻̾͢ơ̶͖̞̰̣͍͚̟ͪͬ̋ͣ͋ͩ͜ṋ̶̪̮͖̼͇͔̊͑͊͌ͩͅ!̝̣ͯ͜͜" 8 Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

Still loving the way you describe certain things, very spooky but then again also easily readable.
