"I'd rather die than hand my lands over to the filth such as you!"

King Kovachev exclaimed, spittle flying from his mouth in rage as he looked down upon the entirety of his Privy, who stood grouped below the Mad King's throne. The halls of the throne room were dark and oppressive much like the King who, not months before, had been a kind and caring soul. Now, though, his mind had darkened. Corrupted with the power and greed that often caused the downfall of many rules in the past, and many rules to come.

"We chose to come here on peaceful terms, Kovachev. We are wanting change!" Cried the Marshal, his eyes narrowed as he looked up at his former liege.
"You've become out of touch with your people, Varon. And when we heard of this plot to sell Akovia from beneath our feet...we had to act!" One Vanir called out. Flanking the Privy were countless men and women of Akovia, not a weapon between them. They had chosen to come in peace before their King to try and plead with him to step down, instead of with hostile intent as many in the past had done. Some were thinking now that they had made the wrong choice.
"So that is it, then?"
"Aye. Get off of my lands."
Silence filled the halls, as the Privy and Akovians stood there, looking up to their once great King with a bitter resentment. They turned their backs and began to exit, the halls emptying for perhaps one final time.

"What is the plan, Lord Vanir?" One young man asked, approaching the Privy as the stood upon the empty fair grounds and residents began packing up valuables. For some reason, a single man was able to remove an entire nation from a region. The Vanir sighed, tugging on his beard before speaking. "House Vanir will take over Akovia and install a Regency until a leader or ruling House is chosen. Myself, Vasili Vanir, will be Regent until then. Be spreading the news around to the people lad, Ai?" The young man nodded his head furiously, and ran off into the crowds of people, shouting out the news. "We are not giving up Akovia without a fight." Vasili says, turning back to the loyal men behind him. "After all that we've done to provide a prosperous place for all people, now is nie the time to be giving up. My kin.." He looks to his brother Arik and nephew Harald, Magnus and Oslo, and the various Vangard who surrounded him. "We Vanirs are Sons of the Sea! The Sea does not rest, and in order to keep what is ours, nor shall we!" A coarse, hardy cheer went up from the Privy and the Vangard, eventually making its way through the crowd of proud Akovians. This was not the end.
