History

As a young woman, Regina was very much in love with her mother's stable boy Daniel. When Cora wanted her to marry into a wealthy and powerful family, Regina planned to run away with her lover. The wealthy man's daughter Snow saw her with the stable boy and promised to keep their relationship a secret so that Regina could have true love. Later, while talking with Cora, the girl spilled Regina's secret. Cora went to the stables that night and used magic to kill Daniel in front of Regina, hoping to force her into the arranged marriage. Regina then rode off in the middle of the night to a land far away, called Athera to escape her mother.
