D would be my choice, as long as it's handled correctly. I feel that Iblees' role in the pantheon should still be represented, even if just by a few die-hard cultists. They should, I agree, be stripped of their powers as they are far too easily abused.

Should this option be chosen in the end, please don't gut them too viciously as to remove all their appeal and impact, as I feel they can still generate fun RP for those interested. While this second iteration of the undead has been unsuccessful (and a bit trigger-happy) I still believe they represent a longstanding facet of this server, which the (A.) outright removal  of would serve only to rob the server of potential RP.

Hope I'm not too late!

P.S. - I hope you don't find it presumptuous of me to offer my further input/help during this whole process as I find it interesting.

- A man nostalgic of his halcyon, edgy days worshiping the original Undead.(Well, some of them. :idk: )

I personally believe that the Undead should have more presence, like a last stand and then begin to die of in role play. As it stands, it feels like they are dying through OOC means which is a little disappointing to be perfectly honest.

I would go with B.

My reasoning?

B - downgrade undead. I think they have an excellent potential to provide RP, but they shouldn't need crazy plugins and powers to do so.

From my experience with Antagonists, people cling to their very worst experience and ignore the fun ones (as they do with most groups, tbh). From what I remember about the 3.0 Antagonist, on average more people enjoyed most events than there were players that did not, but over time people grew dissatisfied due to some event even if most of the time they were not (obviously an over-simplification, but a tendency that I think most people can say is fairly valid).

From the one Undead event I attended, I would say my experiences with the Undead have exclusively been highly positive. It was a ton of fun, a pretty straightforward PVE event that I think most people enjoyed. Clearly some stuff has happened outside of events like this that has led individuals to dislike the Undead, but it's also apparent that you guys know how to do at least some of this stuff right. In the long-run, people will grow nostalgic of this Undead run a while after it ends. My advice is to stick with it and try to emphasize the stuff that you thing will inevitably build toward that nostalgia, and that have fueled your most successful events thus far.

Also, perhaps this is a little out-of-line, but why not consider involving Dalek. I mean, this is a thread basically accepting that the staff has a tendency to not involve people with valuable opinions (in this place, the playerbase) in too many decisions. Can't the same logic be used with Dalek? Don't get me wrong, I don't think involving one new person is super likely to have dramatic improvements in the Undead as a whole, but he is a person who was highly involved with a more successful Undead that clearly wants to help. Sure, he's labeled as a "problem player," but in reality he's never done anything that bad. He's a silly guy who takes this specific thing seriously and wants to try and be involved/help. It seems silly that he wouldn't be seriously considered for a role in the Undead.

Then again, perhaps I'm missing something.

I still have yet to have any RP with antagonists what so ever. Though whether that's from lack of activity or fear of going outside and RPing due to OOC hatred of them (the more likely reason), I cannot say.

I would prefer B, but please for the love of /god/ don't do the thing I have seen so many magic groups or cults do and have it only be the cool kids or people the higher ups like. I just can't stand the whole "well you have to prove you're good enough by being noticed" stance when it comes to inviting people into groups. It comes off as highly elitist and flat out rude.

I just would rather not have Undead be wiped out entirely. They're part of the reason I joined this server, and it'd be such a let down to have them around and never have had the chance to RP with one once.

Moved to The Great Library. It shall be sorted into the appropriate category shortly.

If you feel this is a mistake, please contact myself or any FM and we'll restore it.
