Rule Addition Due To Mcname Changes

Hello Lord of the Craft.

 

With Mojang's implementation of changeable usernames, we are adding two new rules to the list of 'global rules', and they are as follows:

 

• Do not change your username to an offensive, vulgar, inflammatory,trolly or impersonating another member of the community.

Now that we can no longer moderate usernames through the application system, we're putting rules in place to prevent it. Any accounts we find in breach of these rules will be banned until the username is reverted (Mojang allows for a username to change once every 30 days, so that's a 30 day max ban!) although keep note that it is only the account itself that will be banned if you have an alternate account with an appropriate name you are free to still use it for the time until the other account gets renamed. This would generally have been declared “alting” or “ban evading” - however in this case we are allowing it for this infraction only.

• Do not change your username in attempt to impersonate another player/staff member.

 

The second rule however will mean issuing a punishment to the player and all their accounts. Should you be found using the mcname renaming system for the use of harassment and impersonating you can look at being banned for it. Which will be a minimum 30 day ban on all your accounts.

 

We trust you'll be sensible with this name-changing regardless, but at least now we have a system in place.

Oh yea, and it doesn't matter how you spin it or try to flee, your UUID's are logged and all counts of abuse will be found and justly punished. Think twice! :)
