A Speech To Urguan

Fili steps forward in Kal'Karaad, speaking

to the dwarves gathered around, and all others who would listen.

"Lads, I do not know if it is my place to speak here, but in such terrible times

I cannot sit idle as a war wages onward. The Kadrin'Homar, and all of their allies

have seen fit to oppress our great friends, the Wood Elves of Leyu'lin. They claim to have offered them refuge, salvation, a hand to pick them up when they were down, but they know, and I know, and we all know these words to be false! Where they claim to have offered help, they have offered subjugation. Where they claim to have offered refuge, they have offered a silver prison. Where they claim to have offered friendship, they have demanded submission!

And even now, after kidnapping and slaying countless wood elves, pouring molten gold into their eyes, slaying women and children, throwing their mutilated corpses from the walls of their accursed city, they still offer up lies! Peace is not what they want! If peace is what they wanted, they would let the Wood Elves live in tranquility! They would let the so called "Impure" keep to their own, and live a life of happiness. Peace is not the goal the Sohaer seeks! Kalenz and his band of savages, disguised in silks and perfumes want nothing less then the whole world!

They attempt to create another regime of oppression, and fear such as we saw in the Fringe. Those who do not bend the knee will die in fire. Lads, do not heed the words of Kalenz, do not drink the venom that falls from his lips. Our cause is just, our will is great, and our desire for freedom, and the keeping of the balance is even greater than that! So rise up sons and daughters of Urguan. Rise up all who would dare to question the cruelty Kalenz' is instating! Sharpen your swords, string your bows, for this is to be a long and bloody war. Cast out the Kadrin'Homar, destroy Haelun'or with every strike, end it's power with every word you speak. This is an ordeal we must all face together, but at the end we will be ushered into a new age of peace. In the words of Paragon Valen Grandaxe "Stand as one and we are capable of achieving any length of greatness. Stand alone however and we will die alone."
