A Disgruntled Letter From A Disgruntled Man

 Share

Recommended Posts

*A long piece of parchement containing what appears to be a colloquially written letter is stuck with wax to both the gate of Haelun'or, and the noticeboard of Cerulin . If one were to tear down the copy in Cerulin - they'd find a significantly poorer written copy of the letter, probably traced.

Dear Idiots whom're perpetuating this conflict:

"What the hay is going on!? Why, by all the aenguls, are we doing this? This is a pointless and idiotic war going on from two peoples whom should'nt have started this in the first place!

I understand that there is wrongs done on both sides- but fighting isnt going to right those wrongs. All fighting will accomplish is more wrongs being committed against both sides, and more resentment building up between Malin's children. And you know what? Thats crap! So, after a feeblized attempt at peace- I'm damn not gonna try to pleasing to you dinguses (Dingie plural?) cause neither of you damn deserve it. Both of you apparently don't know how to use your words, dont know how to forgive and forget, nor even how to talk about eachother without misrepresenting them and insulting them.

Both sides: Stop damn bickering and picking on the other's like children! You're both acting like babies who instead of talking things out like reasonable people-  go about hitting eachother and insulting. You should both be ashamed of yourselves for doing such disgraceful things on such a massive scale.

To High Elves (Mainly Kalenz):  Yes- I admit Phaedrus done goofed. Heck, I dont even like the guy either. If you let us talk it over and you calmly and collectedly brought up the point that he perpetuated a genocide-  and that you wished  him BANISHED (not handed over to you guys directly) we'd probably have listened. Yet you ROYALLY spoiled that when you tried to take over our government. ROYALLY. (no pun intended), And instead of  going back and apologizing - you go ahead and try to pull EXACTLY what Phaedrus did! WHILE AT THE SAME TIME trying to get people to move in whit you guys WHILE YOU DONT HAVE ANYTHING set up for people. Meanwhile- you hurl baseless, and demeaning insults at EVERYONE who doesnt agree with you. Why in the 7-skies would we even consider doing ANYTHING for you tyrants? You're hypocritical, (I can go ahead and show sources of such if you dont believe me.Remember the tree and druid incidence in Anthos?) unkind by EVERYONE ELSE'S standards, and're racist jerks who apparently take joy in the liquification of other people. Why would you think ANYONE but nonsensical wood elves who claim they're from 'Thess' would join you? Come on guys. You're supposed to be the logical ones. Everyone messes up - yet apparently you guys are too much of a baby (or too much baby like? Too much babies?) to even admit you've done ANY WRONG. Instead-  you blame everything on us.

Also - stop trying to pretend you havnt condoned such barbaric things in your 'haven'. You put heads on pikes!... Oreners- The Scourge- The Conclave- Necromncers- Iblees cultists- they're the kind of people who put heads on pikes!... You're going down to their depths! How would Malin look at this?

Why dont you actually address us as equals -and try to get this resolved without such crazy and stupid terms. You wouldnt accept a treaty if we asked that you throw out your leaders- and asked you to hand us over a sect of your population just because they arnt 'perfect' bodilly, but rather-  they bear 'instances' or 'parts' of what you call perfection.

Yes, I know we're liberal. I know we do things wrong, I know we do practices which you see as detestable, yet thats what WE do. Not what Haelun'or does. You guys arnt synonymous with elves in general (so dont claim your will is the will of all elves). If anything, you're synonymous with a sect of racist separatist high elves whose ego is provoking actions of violence against the virtues they previously sought to live by.

To Wood Elves (Mainly Art and Phaedrus- and anyone else contributing to the animosity): For goodness sake guys. You done goofed up. Big time. To be blunt- I despise both of you extremely. And you deserve it. You two claim you act better than the high elves YET you dont. Have either of you ever made an public apology for this crap? Have either of you made a full effort to try and right your wrongs? You guys are acting JUST AS BAD AS THEM. How can you claim to have the moral high ground if you kneel to their levels?

Yes, I know the high elves are evil sociopathic idiots. Yes, I know they liquify people. But we attacked them first- didnt we? So why dont you get off your damn high horses and say you're sorry. As someone who hasnt killed a man in is life- you guys have been acting mighty righteous. Who knows-  maybe you'll want to put Cerulin on a plateau - and eventually make declarations about our barbaric cousins on the 'other plateau'.

Both sides: If all this doesnt matter to you two - whoopdie-doo - nothing new. You're still acting like cynical jerkwads who dont know how to be decent people. But if this does matter to you, act on it. Stop dwiddling your thumbs and pointing your fingers. Move for peace- and no- war wont bring peace. Only a temporary cease-fighting that'll start back up in a little bit. Say sorry - use your words, ACTUALLY BE GROWN-UPS YOU JACKWAGONS.

*The letter appears to have many crossed out insults on the fringe of the page. Probably testing out whether they'd be more fitting than jackwagon.*

"Whatever happened to high elves, wood elves, and dark elves leaving eachother the **** alone?" Arveldir ponders, shrugging.

Puerir cringes simply after reading the first paragraph of the text, refusing to read further.

"This was either written by a child who has too much time on oem's hands, or by an adult entirely ignorant of the conflict at hand."

Puerir proceeds to remove the letter from the gate of Haelun'or and tear it finely down the middle vertically into two pieces.

Dear Mister Quavinir Signus,

Taking into consideration what you’ve mentioned in your publication, I’d first off like to state that, your use of vulgar language isn’t necessary in getting your point across. This is not a situation to be compared to children bullying one another on a playground of sorts. This is a retaliation, albeit a bit excessive, for what those who sought to bury the Silver Law, and the mali’aheral with it. Troubling as it might be, the cause of this aggression began with Phaedrus. Saying that you’d rather have him banished than handed over to the government that wants to see him put to justice gives the impression that you aren’t exactly repentant for the destruction caused by the actions of Phaedrus, Rusk’dom and the others who took part in the culling of mali’aheral. There is no reason why any mali should be ashamed in seeking out the retribution for how they were wronged.
In your publication, I noticed how you said that we should give you all an opurtunity to talk it over and calmly settle this disagreement. I recall a gathering called by a dark elven “Prince”, in which Kalenz and Ac’Aelu attended, myself included. There, the mali’ame sought to settle the boiling blood of the mali’aheral with “White Peace”, leaving the wrong-doings of the aggressors to be swept under a metaphorical rug. No self-respecting sentient being will allow the deaths of their cultural kinsmen to be brushed aside as instances in the past. I personally do not want to fight, but that does not warrant your government to –not- hand over those whose marks upon mali’aheral civilization still smart with an exceptionally dissatisfying ache.
Another point I’d like to respond to is your claims that we are descending to the depths of Necromancers, The Conclave and Iblees cultists by preforming  barbaric acts. Actions done during periods of war cannot be compared to actions done by those for the sake of being a disturbance. These “pikings” may indeed by barbaric, but act as a warning to our enemies.
Hopefully your publication received the response that you expected.

*A letter is sent in reply.*

To Mr. Tiuth:

As to address your first point:

Vulgar language? Far not. Simply from the colloquialisms I experience from day-today basis are what I include in here. What you may consider vulgarities in your palce - we are familiar with daily. And I have grown weary with caring about what others care about how what I percieve as truth is being said.

Second pont:

A fair amount of this is the idea of the 'rebellion'. To be honest- I never submitted to any high elf rule to be rebelled from, and if any did - it was a small yet vocal minority. If people wish to separate than let them. Do you not remember that most elves at a time lived in Malinor- and Haelun'or was the separatist? (Of which it seems you still are today.)

3rd point:

The handing over and banishing is something I dont care about, and personally means no difference to me. For I care not for those whom you wish handed over save for Elorna, of whom I personally have not seen her do much wrong at all. The handing over point is something requested by those close to the mentioned- as handing them over would surely mean execution, if not torture preceeding it.

Likewise- there has been deaths on our side, causing those whom truly dont understand the situation to already see retribution as more than made. I neither wish for all this to be swept under the rug, but I wish for this fighting to cease so that those involved may be reprimanded duely. Yet, if we were to both be fair-  that would also include men on your side being punished,

4th point:

It still stands. Warning or not-  you're doing the exact same things, whether in war or not, you're still doing the barbaric practice.

P.S My last name is Tinuvial... not Signus.

P.P.S : Though sadly-  the steryotype is backed up by a large disheartening majority.

Wirresth frowns at the letter, wondering how one can preach peace, yet treat the loss of lives on both sides so with such humour. "Truly written by one who has never seen the horror of war, to think it is declared and called off at a simple whim." he says under his breath, so as not to disturb others reading.

(( Also, take this :P.))

Lyrell grabs the note, reading it as he sips tea with his dear cousin and gasps.

"Kalenz! Th- This note!"

Kalenz would look at Lyrell, his eyes with wonder of what his cousin was talking about. Suddenly Lyrell would stand, grab Kalenz's arm and drag him towards the acid pools.

"This note... It... I must do this dear cousin..."

Lyrell trembles a little, his grip on Kalenz tightening and then, without hesitation, he tosses the note into the acid pool. Watching the note burn up instantaneously.

"It works!"

Dear Mr. Tinuvial,

During Annil'sul the mali'ame were given any and every opportunity they wished to leave. Instead they chose to conquer a city they did not build. They decided to attempt and annihilate a culture not belonging to them. Annil'sul was not a wood elven settlement. The mali'ame who rebelled didn't care for the city, as shown when they placed it back in our hands. There was no reasoning with them. Even after all my efforts to fix relations they made excuses to rebel. They only cared for the death of silver. If it was the  minority then why did the rest of the mali'ame not interrupt the initial surge of rebellion? Or simply not participate?

The mali'ame had no foresight which I now find myself pitying. For those cursed with immortality need find a path to follow else they devolve into ape-like Camoryns. Terms were brought to Leyulin. They were rejected outright instead of negotiated and so the war ensued. I only wonder if the mali'ame can finally find their wits before more blood is split.
