Adaorin -  The Conductor

“A simple tale, one that remains the same with every passing year which describes an orchestra of utmost beauty, never ending it’s delightful music that emits from it’s combined harmony. However, without The Conductor the band is surely set to fail; no coordination, no direction, no unity. Without the figure, the band merely produces noise that brings pain to the ears of many, and yet with, the music they produce can be of grand proportions. It’s argued that sometimes in ones life, the conductor in his near-madness state slips, his hand wafting everso slightly off and causing the very structure of the orchestra to vanish, it’s music quickly vanishing into the fade..”

Adaorin noticed a flaw upon the mortal realm, his observations causing him ever increasing concern. The never ending loop of life that cursed the original mortal life had caused disruptions; people failed to age into death, murdered themselves for nothing more than pleasure and lost fear over death itself. Amendments must be made, a correction for an early mistake.

Speaking with the father of spirits, he soon struck a deal. Adaorin would be given a hand of direction to his realm, able to transport those of lost ambition to a place in which they may rest. And with that, Adaorin went about his plan, and within moments the world was plagued by something it had never bared witness to, death.

He became the conductor of life itself, each piece of music produced intertwined with a life, and when the music stuttered to an abrupt halt it was usually by a click of his fingers. For he observed, noted and checked every life that walked the mortal realm, for he was concerned with every death.. How it happened.. Why it happened.. If he perhaps discovered that the minor skip in the music was the result of something worse, his fist would clamp and the music never to play again.

The conditions were simple to him, yet complicated to the thoughts of a mortal, perhaps even biased in some way, unfair.. Yet, his plan continued to circulate, the others failing to interject within his scheme. He found those that lost all sense of ambition, hope and drive, registering more so those that tripped into the hole with very little chance of recovery other than a small slit of light that resonated from the surface.

Yet this would not be his only condition, he quickly found the lack of fear surrounding death to become a hinderance.. People would hold their necks to blades, shouting at another to bring the blade downward for little reason. The only result was madness, for those that have no perception of death spend very little time within the light. For this, they would be punished, struck down and forced into a forgotten realm in which they can wander eternally.

The final was that of a blade through ones own heart, the jumping from the edge of a cliff, the slitting of a throat. This is where his opinions became most biased, he judged them as cowards. Giving their treasured life, to resolve what? He was quick to cast these away, not caring for the repercussions from his kin. His opinionated self inscribed these conditions, and went about conducting the lives of many.

However, despite his arrogance towards those that suffered to the blade of suicide.. Some would be given a chance of redemption, those of the lost faith, ambition and hope are given a small period in which they may re-consider their thoughts.. A chance to find a glimmer of hope within their shrouded vision of dark, should they choose to grasp it, he would allow their form to return.. A second chance.. This gap isn’t unlimited however, for even this generous gift would be limited to those of haste as the distant hum of music from the most quiet of instruments would soon fail to strum it's strings also.

(( Explanation for the reasons behind perma-death, thought it’s much grander than the OOC surrounding the concept! ))

This lore has been denied.

Conflicts with current lore/deities, and death is not something meant to be 100% defined.
