A letter to the Orenian government

It was on the 8th of Malin's Welcome, 1497, in the City of Petrus, that I, Margaery Stafyr of Werdenberg, was victim of harassment by a man wearing the sigil of a carrot. I am sure I heard his friend, who made no actions to stop his behavior, call him Orgmar. I refused to waste another word on him and returned to Werdenberg, to my home, as suddenly I noticed he had followed me. He proceeded to threaten me. His insolent behavior was quite stunning and a decent punishment for his actions would be very much appreciated.

Ser Orgmar reads over the partchment and quickly writes his own statement.

 

It reads: After a verbal disagreement with Lady Stafyr she swiftly took aim at my honor, calling of me a, "Peasant", before she made her leave. An insult that stung deep into my heart. I made chase after her. I eventually got her attention and asked her as to why she would make of such name calling, thinking that maybe my ears deceived me. But nay, she failed to apologize and left to her home. Head held low, I made my way back to Petrus, to sulk in my disdain. Furthermore, I made no threat, I simply asked the Lady to apologize for her harsh words. No apology ever reached my ear, however. I have committed no crime and will stand trial for such accusations. Lady Stafyr lacks respect and seems to be a woman of much dishonesty.

This is nothing more than a false statement. Orgmar is not only good in harassing noble women, he is also a dishonourbale liar. Should this whole affair go to court, I will make sure I shall defend my own cause and that of other women he has harassed or will harass in the future. I hope that the judge will make a reasonable verdict that day.

I, Emile Marion, hereby attest that I accompanied Orgmar on his travel to Werdenburg, and bared witness to the entire event. The Lady of Stafyr is a dishonest woman, and has fabricated lies upon a good man. I watched him gently plead for apology, before leaving the county in utter disappointment. We followed this up with a drink at the local tavern, and some story telling.
