How Has Your Expectations Changed Over The Years For Lotc?

As somebody who has been here since 2011 I've watched it change and grow. LotC has gone through many changes, some good and some not so good.

When I joined I had no expectations. I wanted a release from the **** in the real world and hid within Laurelin climbing trees and chilling with the main man, Native.

Whereas now? I almost expect it to have this quality RP. I now expect the staff to be able to manage its players and issues better than has been done in the past and present.

I'd have to second this. The roleplay is 200x more fun in Asulon than it is now. Not completely OOC driven and uninteresting. I've expected roleplay to come with some form of progression and story like it did several years ago. I never saw it. So I gave up trying. That's where my expectations shattered.

It's still fun, though I wish there was a bigger player base and less conflict based off OOC.

My expectations have been lowered constantly and predictably since Asulon. The steady march of progress has fallen into stagnation worse than that of Asulon, roleplay has been trampled in favor of teamspeak and convenience, and the tribal mentality of players and staff has both groups playing for the benefit of the individual, not the whole.

Bigger player base would be amazing. I've been here since like late 2011 and I had a lot more fun because I was oblivious to the ooc issues and ooc organization. When you surface to become active on the forums and in Skye the fun kinda goes down. Also, nexus ruined RP imo
