Question About Trade In Lotc

I haven't really been on this server in a while. I recently got into it again. I used to be involved in trade a lot. Mostly, I just sold iron. No one ever bought food. I see they added this new nexus system. Has it made trade more interesting? Are people actually making money without selling armor and iron?

It's possible. I am actually with others on a merchant guild if you are interested.

Money is basically useless unless you're doing something tiny (buying a bread or two) or something huge (buying a plot or ending a war). Most economic trade is often done in iron or other physical values, from what I've seen.

Yes, I sell dough along with other items at my stall in Petrus. Dough is one of my most sold items.

What do people trade for iron?

If I ever find you in RP, I'll surely ask about it!

Lotc economy is crap and most individual exchange is done around combat or food related items.

I give nexus credit for one thing, It forces people to pick a specialized profession which encourages people to seek out each other for help in creating a functional economy.

Iron is used a solid commodity that backs up the worth of mina (1 ingot = 10 mina). Many people use iron because it is used for armor and tools. Officially, things like markets and warclaims use mina and thats what really keeps it afloat. Nexus encourages those who are skilled in a trade to sell and offer their services, creating a somewhat functional economy.

If you keep your food supply up then I am sure a food stall would make some money if located correctly.

Baring in mind though that food rots away extremely quickly.
