The Blue Gobo Leaks Red [Red Rose Tavern Read]

Zhonyx pokes his head up over a chair, scanning over the people within the Red Rose. It's been such a long time since he's actually successfully obtained shineys. After a couple seconds of scanning the crowd on the stools, his eyes narrow upon a hooded man, making conversation with Arelin behind the counter.

 

Swiftly, Zhonyx devises a plan, and swoops from beside the chair, slowly ducking behind other obstacles to retain his cover. He crawls out from under a table, and examines the hooded man once more... He's got two small pouches dangling from his belt, and Zhonyx nods to himself. Quietly, he retrieves his mircoscopic stone dirk, and prowls forth. Once within the Gobo's arm's reach, he extends his dirk to cut the pouches.

 

The hooded man peers over his shoulder, and his slightly shadowed eyes widen just enough for Zhonyx to see, before he gets shoved up against the pillar behind him. Zhonyx drops his dirk, and his ears droop down in fright, he looks at the hooded figure for a couple of seconds, and reluctantly shakes his own head. 

 

Zhonyx felt a sharp pain near his abdomen, and looks down, his eyes widen and he begins to tear up. He was stabbed. The man pulls out the blade form the Gobo's weak body, takes a step back, and just watches him...

Zhonyx's eyes dart to a couple of minas on the counter, he reluctantly begins to walk there, holding his abdomen. He nearly trips, but makes it to the counter. Slowly, Zhonyx picks up the two minas in his feeble, shaking hands, and examines them. A grim smile begins to appear on his lips...

 

Zhonyx peers around calmly, and appears to have settled. Still with the minas in hand, he turns to the exit. Before leaving, a small mina pouch catches the corner of  his eye. Shakily, he places a hand on the pouch, and smiles warmly. The sounds of stomping can be heard outside the tavern. Zhonyx examines the pouch, and nods to himself sllightly, he falls onto his back, and stares up at the ceiling with a wide smile as the guards storm the tavern, looking down upon the blue body resting peacefully.
