Principality of Savoy 915 Share Posted March 14, 2015 "LOOSE!" Arik Vanir roared, the bitter wind nipping at him through his jacket of mail. Besides him, the half-frozen catapult came to life, groaning thunderously as it launched its payload. A moment later, the massive stone tour through the Faolin gate with a tremendous crash, the cheers of the engine operators piercing through the air. The men on the catapults quickly drew their own weapons, leaving their charges to go and attend to the pillage below. Inside the fort, the Pagan filth were being butchered by the second, the castle itself tearing up in flames. Screams of the wounded and dying northerners filled the air, the forces of Orenia dispatching all who opposed them, filling their arms and backs with the burden of pillage. Nearby, caskets of stolen wine flowed freely, and men with gold bursting from their pockets howled with laughter as they headed home. The Pagans had been dispatched with haste and force they couldn't have possibly perceived. Back in Petrus, men raised mugs to cheer in toast, the streets filled with celebration and the churches packed to the last pew. "Ave Orenia!" They cried, shaking their fist and thanking God above. The Kingdom mourned the loss of Andrik by pressing his most noble cause, uniting the realm of man. The Reunifier had shown the way, and now, his people carried on the torch.
