Personality: A stranger might look at Lorina and describe her as polite, kind, gentle - almost excessively so. Lorina makes a point of showing kindness and civility to nearly everyone she meets, including enemies. Lorina prefers to "kill her enemies with kindness." She is highly empathetic and compassionate, feeling great sympathy for the problems of others and desiring to help wherever she can. On the flip side, however, Lorina is often too trusting. A former Imperial princess, she grew up in a very sheltered environment, surrounded by people whose job was to protect her. 

 

Since the fall of her father's empire, however, Lorina has had to learn many painful life lessons. She suffers from extremely low self-esteem, believing herself to be of little value. She has a strong desire to be "useful" to the people around her. Lorina also tends to keep her true emotions to herself. She prefers to smile and pretend that nothing is wrong, rather than submitting to her own deep-seated self-hate and trauma. She is a worrywart who often frets about her family and friends. She usually puts family or friends before herself, which leads to Lorina sacrificing her own health and happiness for the betterment of others.

 

She is not entirely selfless, though. Lorina can be surprisingly perceptive and cunning at times, proving to be an adept manipulator when it suits her.

 

She has an unshakable faith in the Creator and the Canon. She is also highly devoted to her family. Lorina takes great pride in being a Carrion, especially a descendant of the Tuvic line.
