A beacon of hope for those who once wished to be Free. Free from tyranny, Free from having one culture imposed upon another, Free from slavery, Free from invasion. This Kingdom has long been caught in wars to ensure the Freedom of others, and itself. Nearly all, if not every war fought by the Grand Kingdom was for this right. In fear of defeat many have betrayed this nation, preferring to run, and hide than to give their lives in the name of their country which such a nation tries so dearly to assist. Subjugation. A hated word for dwarves. A word more despised than Iblees. This is the cry of war the opposing power of Oren now shouts openly. When an Orenian king now dead wished to "liberate" the north, it was suspected that the Orenians sought to imperialize Athera, and suppress Yemekar’s children. Yet dwarves held more faith in the hearts of men. The past peace terms were accepted by the Kingdom once Hiebenhall was stolen, but Oren could only refuse to halt its attack. And still, it was not seen as serious as it is now. As events unfold, recent talk of Oren is that they have only two more races to subjugate. Yes, two more races, for the elves had shattered before Oren, and now the dwarves and orcs stand as the last free nations, a final defence against the scourge. The dwarves, a nation that throughout ages past had fought in the protection of a fair and just political order. And now they are exposed. The last bastion of freedom within Athera, the last hope for a world unbent and unbroken. If one falls, so does the other. So do we all. Know that despite its words, Oren’s only cause as of this day is imperialism. To dominate the world, and impose upon all races and people a religion used as an excuse to slaughter those who do not hold their God in such a high regard. The excuse, they say is that the dwarven nation declared war on Akovia. Yet, they enact their wrath on a government who did not stand when such an act of war was taken. And now, Oren chooses to protect and harbor corruption within its very borders, those who had aligned with its enemies during Oren’s schism war. What is there to do? Mayhaps you are locked tight within someone’s grip? It matters not, you have but one day to change it all. THE FREE ATHERA must join together, must march together, and must repel this power who desires the destruction of our homes, and families. The plea is to you, to the world. The Dwarves are ready. The dwarves will fight for their freedom, but will you Fight for the Freedom of which you so rightfully deserve?
