Elindor 666 Share Posted May 4, 2015 We've got Bardmancy and Beardmancy. So carrying along the same theme its about time we had some new additions to Whimsical Magic. Boredmancy: The ability to bend someone's interest at will. Boredmancy provides the power to keep someone at a mundane task indefinitely. Who needs expensive slaves when you can make your own. The master boredmancer could also make a fortune out of clinical psychology. All you have to do is make that serial killer find murder the most tedious activity imaginable and wait for the cheques in the mail. Boardmancy: The ability to resize carved wood to fit any space required. Only works for pre-cut wood but will last forever, meaning that a skilled boardmancer could create a house using as little as six planks of wood, saving our precious trees. Of course, that much time practicing boardmancy, you could just become a carpenter. Barfmancy: You wouldn't really... would you? Borkmancy: Someone tripping over is universally hilarious, but you would be a fool to think they are merely clumsy. The truth is they are under the influence of a borkmancer. However there is a strange balance at play here, for as long as a borkmancer is not influencing others so that they constantly mess things up, they themselves are terribly clumsy. Such a moral dilemma to this magic. Do you spend your days dropping your coins and tripping over your own shoes, or pass the misfortune on to unsuspecting civilians? Bookmancy: You know what the worst part of a library is? Storage! For bookmancers that is no problem at all. One book that they carry with them can contain any book ever written. All they have to do is recall how the book begins and then, viola, the pages fill with magnificent text. Its also the perfect gift for any occasion. Perhaps the birthday boy didn't like that murder mystery, no problem because in a jiffy it will be a homo-erotic romance novel. And my personal favourite. Bradomancy: Everyone wants to look like Brad. His chiselled jaw, dreamy blue eyes like a bottomless ocean, and the come hither twinkle in the corner of his mouth. Bradomancy steps up where Beardmancy leaves off and remoulds facial structures. Sometimes it can be an incredibly painful process, and your new nose is going to take a few days for the swelling to go down, but when the bruising fades you won't need a beard to cover up that gorgeous face.

Space 2335 Share Posted May 5, 2015 Personally, I don't think that all these magic sub-type should be allowed. They take away RP from the main magic sub-types. getit?

Elindor 666 Author Share Posted May 5, 2015 Its not entirely serious. Except for Bradomancy. I am serious AF about Bradomancy. Because the MAT is back, I believe that household magic should be open for all to use and to also have whimsical magic as more of a cover-all than specific subtypes. Basically allowing a whole range of odd and enjoyable magics that are low impact and non combat. You want your teapot to dance as it brews a cuppa for your visitor? Sure. You want your storybook to spew forth glitter upon opening? Not sure why you would, but sure.
