Birds Against The Wind [Death/leaving Post]

The waves brewed amongst the bellowing skies. His mind succumbed to the trancing thrashes of the sea as the boat continued. The boat halted with a rub against the sedimentary grains and to which his boots planted into with arrival. His arms swayed with a slugging step until the dirt. His gaze fused upon the entranceway to the small abode; the door cracked and broken. The leather boots picked up speed towards the door. His shoulder butted against the wooden frame as he forced the door to the wall. The frantic sprint did not falter until he found himself at the torn door of his father’s study. The door fell at his hand. Blood spatter lined the walls with arterial spurs and slash splatters around the crimson pool formed around the body. Blood soaked papers scattered the ground in dismay. Aurelius kneeled trembling next to his father. His cheek moistened by the rolling of tears. His attention drifted to a paper through his watered gaze. An aching finger lingered towards the edge of it, taking grasp. He read it over…

“The suns rise everyday,

To greet you halfway.

The winds roar,

To your future they implore.

The sun sets,

To give you rest.

And I smile because of it,

My heart could never split.

I owe it to you,

My life began anew.”

His rough hands crept towards his heart with a bowed head.

“How could this happen…?”

The clanking of bottles echoes throughout the isolated and dimly lighted cabin. It gathered the attention of the local wildlife which occasionally lurked towards the boarded windows. Paintings were scattered everywhere, unkept and worn; and bottles of ale and wine littered the floor like a mat.

...

Aurelius held the vial in his hand, dousing the cigarette from the it. The bottle flung off the edge as he reached for his matches and lit the end with a puff. His gaze drifted towards the falling sun beyond the peak. Four years had gone by since his father’s death.

“Such a beautiful world; and yet, so despicable in nature.”

The feeling began to overcome his body, conquering his mind and spirit.

“I shall fear no demise, for you are my protectorate, Oh Creator.”

He glanced towards the edge momentarily, his eyes shrinking. With the motion of a tiger he set himself off the top of the mountain. He extended his arms down towards the soon impending ground. trophying a warm smile.

“Like birds drifting through the wind, we meet again father”

Consciousness was lost halfway through the air; his limping body continued its channel to the dirt. The thunderous thud shattered all sense of peace in the Southern Forests of Athera.

((Well my friends, it has been a fun ride; and to which I thank each and every one of you for all that I could experience on the server. You may be thinking that this is just another attempt of distancing myself from the server, but this has been naturally occurring over the past few months. If I return is uncertain. The future holds much for me and I do not believe I would have the time to play regardless of what I do. I will continue to hop on the forums and do things there among other affairs but I shall remain inactive as a whole player. Hope all of my friends keep in touch. It's been a fun ride Lord of the Craft. God Bless and stop hating one another so much. Kyle4924 signing out!))
