Overview:

Ozog'Lak, a respected member of the Lak clan sat beneath a tree in Shreck'Lak's swamp smoking cactus green as usual. He then spots are patch of red mushrooms a small distance away. He thinks to himself, "Wub iv mi ayt doz zhroomz, agh zmoked diz kuzh ad da zaym tym?" He has eaten mushrooms before, and he has smoked cactus green before, but never together. After ingesting the mushrooms with the cactus green in him system, he goes berserk. Turns out the mushrooms he consumed were actually Amanita muscaria a mushroom in real life that was accredited with causing the berserker rage inside Norse Berserkers in ancient times. It seemed that the mellowing effect of the cactus green allowed the Uruk to control the rage and manipulate it to where it was needed. Ozog'Lak experimented with this and was able to combine the ingredients with water to make a potent brew. At the expense of most of his furniture in his home, Ozog'Lak managed to find the correct mixture of the two ingredients into a brew he named Lakbrew. (After the spirit his clan was named after of course, Laklul.) As it contains cactus green, it is slightly addictive.

In-Game Usage:

Lakbrew would be a potion one could brew using Alchemy that would be used as an RP item during combat and et cetera. It would be composed of two ingredients: Red Mushrooms (As Amanita muscaria a red mushroom with white spots in real life), and Cactus Green (The regents are up to change if more are needed for balancing reasons.) The recipe would also only be known by Ozog'Lak until he roleplays teaching it to someone else.

This is my first time writing lore, so constructive criticism is welcome.

Would be nice if it gave nausea and speed!

Try fleshing out more exactly what this drug accomplishes when consumed, versus just actually eating the mushroom. Explain more what it means to "manipulate" the rage? Could he not just eat the mushroom to achieve the same affect, and then take a BR after to mellow out?

Otherwise, I think the concept is good enough - you know you're fucked when you're taking drugs to mellow out your other drugs

The mushroom part gives you the berserk effect, and the cactus green kinda calms that effect a bit so it that rage can be semi-directed to where it needs to be.

Would this potion technically make your character stronger? If so, this is very much so similar to the potion of strength which you could use as the mc representation of it, and could probably just RP similar effects to your character by making him angry. In the end though, In its' current state I don't really think the lm's would be open to accepting this, as from a non lm standpoint the thing that stands out as the biggest issue is that it is a 2 ingredient potion, with at least one common ingredient which is cactus green, especially if you wanted this mechanically as most potions that do similar or even less effects take something like 3+ ingredients.

As well, do orc's not have bloodlust? These mushrooms, do they cause aimless rage? Also, and im not claiming to be an alchemist here, im not sure if mixing them in a brew like that would really achieve that effect (though like I said, who knows)...

This considered, is the lore reasonable? Yeah, I could buy it. I've never found weed to do anything until I start coming down from whatever, and if you claim your orc smokes weed every I doubt a consumable would be enough, but the core concept I guess could be looked over if it provides benefit to the servers lore.

Does it?

Not really. At least, I don't think. You've already got cactus green, you've got a berserker mushroom, and you have your race's unique bloodlust affect already. It's cool to look over small inaccuracies in the lore here in there for convenience sake, or to flesh out the server. I don't really think this does.

Cool idea man, honestly my opinion technically doesn't mean a damn thing. Some constructive criticism if you wanted it

It's more like a rage that makes someone oblivious to their surroundings, the cactus green is to make it to where you could possibly guide the berserk onto a task, but the intention is to go into an RP bloodlust rather than actual potion effects. And friendly fire is a real possibility so it would cause casualties to both sides of a conflict. Also, this is more of a concept idea and it is always open to having extra regents to balance it out.
