Vailor Charter System

Recommended Posts

I’d like to begin by saying Vailor is looking pretty good now, aside from a few miscommunications here and there, Vailor is shaping up to be quite the Lord of the Craft iteration.

With the new large and fully permed map, we’ve become exposed to a new set of issues which Athera did not suffer from, such as the acquiring of land for one to build on, war and raid rules, and fast travel systems.

To put it as simply as I can, land will be not be as easy to get as it was in Athera, we expect far more from players seeking land than we once did. The GM team has put their heads together and come up with two methods of acquiring land in Vailor and one method of expanding currently existing regions and nation borders.

One method of acquiring land on Vailor is through a Guild Charter. Use the Charter forum sub-section to apply for a Charter. Educate yourself on the Guild Charter Appendix by viewing the Pinned Topics within the sub-section.

The second method of acquiring land applies to aspiring independent nations and settlements. Please read the Pinned Topic which is also within the Charter Applications section.

Lastly, there is a third method of acquiring land for currently existing regions, and nations. This method dictates how nation/settlement/guild expansion will be handled by the staff team in Vailor.

We look forward to seeing you apply for Charters, and Land Expansions, in the coming days. Hope you’re having fun in Vailor, and we hope you enjoy what we’ve made for you!

This is all effective immediately.

I like the system, for sure, but some of the requirements seem very, very steep. If it's going to be that hard can't there be a wilderness island somewhere?

Before being posted it was 12 pages long, where do you propose I put this in-game?

By not proposing it at all if it means people have to be on the forums.

By not proposing it at all if it means people have to be on the forums. Don't make getting land a huge chore.

Now that you mention it, I think getting land should be a chore. Should give people an appreciation for it.

The whole point of having a bigger map was to give power to major nations and stop independent roadside taverns, making room for guilds and other minor peoples makes this pointless. Nor does it make sense from an RP sense, as the already current nations have de jure claims to the majority of the map already.

Well I mean when you act like you know everything all the time it makes people not want to be on the forums.

Right, because posting essential information on the forums (on which it can be easily viewed and accessed by everyone) should not be done because certain players are too lazy to come on and read a few paragraphs in regards to the new practice and rule. Nothing wrong with that logic.

And people having to be on the forums is bad because...?
