Flowers for Aelgernon is a non-profit institution established in Felsen, in the year 1520. It's purpose is to raise money and awareness for destitute children of Aesterwaldian descent, who face persecution and social ostracism for their speech impediments. All donations to FFA go towards the establishment of Aelgernon's Orphanage, led by Paul Ryan Jr.

A Statement From Our Founder: 

 

 

Hi, I'm Paul.

 

If you're reading this, you've probably been picked on in your life, for one reason or another. Perhaps you were a scrawny child, or a particularly ugly adolescent. Perhaps you stuttered when you learned how to speak, or perhaps you were simply Renatian. Nonetheless, we've all faced harsh criticism from our peers, and who's words sting more than those of children?

 

As someone who is 1/16th Waldien myself, I find it despicable that children in the modern realm are still persecuted because of their accents. After meeting Aelgernon, a young, blonde hair child with eyes like the freshest skies, I fell in love with my cause - helping the needy. He was a bright young child who simply sought to change the world for the better (by assassinating Raevirs -  but that's not important). Unfortunately, he was taken from this world too soon. Aelgernon, shortly after our first meeting, was found murdered in a dirty alleyway, his pockets emptied of their coin. I assisted in the Guard's inquiry (after, of course, being acquitted of the slanderous false charges attributed to me by a local baker who claimed to have witnessed the event, the madman!), and soon uncovered that some local brigands had accosted the young lad one night, slaying him upon finding his begs for mercy incoherent and comedic. 

 

Pals, with your help, we can prevent this from ever happening again. No child should be punished because of who their ancestors were, what they did, or because nobody can understand them half the time they speak. With your donation and assistance, Flowers for Aelgernon can become great. 

 

 

How You Can Help:

 

Kindhearted individuals who seek to better our world and further our cause may make monetary donations to one Paul Jr., or volunteer by answering the flyers below to aid in social projects. By going out into your local community and raising awareness for this issue, we can ultimately garner enough support for King Olivier to grant us the space we need to build our Orphanage.
