For many years, the hunters of the Lur clan have sought out a creature only known in legends told by traveling merchant, and the unlucky goblin who wandered out alone at night. This legend had many names, but the named dubbed by Eath'Lur, Shaman of the Iron Uzg, and Elder of the Lur clan, was Garuga, Scourge of the Sands. Until this day, the Iron Uzg had only rumors to work off of as the creature was sought after, but this day, many of these rumors were proven to be true....

The desert was silent, an average day for the denizens of the Iron Uzg. A single form raced across the desert sands, kicking up a path of dust as it charged through the hot desert sands. The Shaman Eath'Lur road his powerful Lur companion into the growing Uruk city, into the center of town. He kicked off of the creature, landing with a heavy thud into the sand. As his boots sunk inches into the sand, he looked about, while his hand fell towards his belt. His thick, dark green fingers found what they had been searching for, before wrapping around it with force. Bringing the horn to his lips, he blew a powerful series of notes. Various orcs within the community looked at the source of the noise, but only few Uruks followed it. As they approached Eath'Lur, he held up a single scale, a scale much larger than anything that would belong to a normal creature of the deserts. It had been done. Proof of Garuga had been found. The light blue and gold scale shun brightly as it reflected the sun's rays from above, gaining the attention of the gathered Orcs. The smaller than average Uruk told the gathered Uruks of a trail that had been found, with the scale upon it. After gathering a party, he once more mounted his Lur wolf and led the party out of the city, and into the deserts.

Together the hunting party set out. heading east, deeper into the desert. After a few short hours of traveling, Eath suddenly stopped, his Lur wolf straightening, looking about with it's teeth drawn back into a snarl. After dismounting from the creature and sending the Lur wolf off, Eath knelt low, running his hand across what appear to be a large path, though to the eyes of the experienced hunter, it was more than a path. It was a sign, something for the Lur to track. It was the trail of the creature the party had sought, though many were unaware of the great prize. Rumors had been told of a large, snake-like creature that traversed the dunes underground, burrowing as it searched for it's prey. Though it's been seen by few, and harmed by even less, Eath had been sure of it's existence, and this was further prove to the hunter that the prey he sought, was within his grasp. After such a find, Eath followed the trail, leading his fellow Uruks up the sandy dunes.

As the party progressed, the sands shifted slightly, as something large and powerful stalked the party from beneath. With the prey upon the horizon, the Iron Uzg had not thought themselves within the sights of the very creature they sought. They had not though themselves prey.

As the hunting party traversed a large dune and came down the other side, an Oasis came into sight. At the orders of Eath, the party descended the dune and approached the Oasis. Many began to rest, settling down at the water's edge to drink. Others found spots of shade to lay in, allowing themselves refuge from the hot sun. Silently, the sands shifted and the writhing form of a snake rose. A single red eye glared out from the sand, peering at the Orcs that it had been hunting for the past several hours. Without warning, the creature burst forth from the sand, it's grotesque body slithering towards it's prey. Azel'Raguk, the Dark Elf who had found his home within the Iron Uzg drew his bow and knocked an arrow and aimed for the creature. Others stood quickly, Nagg'Raguk, Wargoth and Chieftain of the Raguk clan, drew forth his mighty axe and charged the creature. Following suit, the other members of the hunting party followed in the Wargoth's footsteps. As they charged the snake, Azel let loose of the arrow. It flew fast, and it flew true, embedding into the single eye of the large snake, blinding it. From the creature's back, wings were spread, and beat furiously, sand flying outward and buffeting those near to it. As it began to gain in height, Eath'Lur charged forward and grabbed the creature's tail. A goblin of the Gorkil clan, Grobie followed suit, grasping onto the legs of Eath.

Garuga had continued ascent, but with the weight of the Uruk and Goblin upon it, the creature only glided through the air. Unable to bear the weight of it's passengers, it crashed down in the nearby oasis. Olog and Uruk alike followed them in, thrashing about through the water towards their companions and where the creature had went under. As they neared and stopped moving about, the water calmed considerably, and only Grobie and Eath'Lur were found. Suddenly, the creature burst forth from the water, wrapping it's tail around the goblin's waist, it swam quickly, gliding across the surface of the water towards the other side of the Oasis' pond. Once more, the hunting party followed it across. Upon the other side, Nagg drew himself from the water and directly approached the creature. Axe raised high, he swung down and slammed it into the skull of the creature. A sound akin to thunder sounded from the impact. Though the creature carried on fighting, writhing madly about and sending any foolish enough to remain close by flying into the nearby brush.

It is to be noted, the fat cat, Ja'Mukar, leader of the Kharajyr had joined the hunt upon this day. And using his mighty claws, the Kharajyr shredded one of the mighty beast's wings. Upon doing so, it had effectively weakened the creature's flight, forcing it to barely able to glide over the ground below it.

As an Orc of the Gorkil clan backed up, Azel stepped up, planted his right foot against the Uruk's head, and launched himself towards the creature. Simultaneously, the creature beat it's wings once more, ascending into the air. The mali'ker flew through the air, embedding his battle axe into the already wounded eye of the creature. The axe cleaved through eye, scale, and eventually the skull of the creature. Brain matter leaked out around the surface of the axe, and the two went down. Azel landed shakily, while the creature thrashed about in it's death throws. Finally falling limp, the bloody dark elf ripped his axe from the creature and roared Krug to the heavens, before unceremoniously hacking the head of the creature off.

Once more, the Iron Uzg triumphs over it's prey, and prove their strength through the test of battle.
