To His Holiness, the Vicar of GOD, Everard II

I sincerely and deeply apologize for my subversive, impatient and destructive suggestions and behavior. While I do believe the Church has work to be done before it is to be at it's greatest strength, it is not my place to publicly denounce it's practices and present alternatives; it is yours.

I will pray on this matter, in hopes that GOD, and yourself, may grant me forgiveness for my foolishness.

In the years since the conception of the Church, simony, corruption and intrigue have been at the core of it's inner workings. The election of the High Pontiff, the canonization of Saints, the ordination of Bishops and Priests and the elevation of Pentarchs, as well as many other estates of the Ministry of the Church, have been plagued with unholy political schemes.

I say, no more. The Church is the Ministry of GOD, and not the means by which secular lords may install their sons and brothers to do their bidding. It is by the Church we know Absolution and Faith, Retribution and Hope. Even I myself admit to being entangled in these webs of bribery and intrigue, and my remorse and confessions since the election of the last High Pontiff have been many and sincere.

I, Iosif tau Roiye, Metropolitan of Felsen, am a whole and hearty supported of His Holiness, the Vicar of GOD, Everard II. I know him to be the true connection between GOD and the Ministry, and through him we receive the strength of absolution, through GOD's hand.

However, I am discontent. Not with His Holiness, but with the method by which His Holiness must administer the Church and its authorities. Political pressures have forced High Pontiffs before him to make decisions, such as the appointments of Pentarchs or Bishops. I fear these pressures may one day resurface, and simony will return to our Church in force once again.

With the departure of Guy de Bar, GOD rest his soul,  from the throne, known to actively threaten the Church itself, the High Pontiff has been able to appoint me my original intended position; the Diocese of Felsen and the Crownlands. I am honored and humbled, and my parish and it's flock are a most pious and faithful group, whom revere GOD and wish only to learn and worship more.

Below, I will list a number of discontents I have regarding the current state of the Church.

1) The refusal of the Curia and the High Pontiffs, both new and old, to reveal unto the world the Holy Scrolls. To reveal these Scrolls to the world is to make the Faith universal and knowable on a tangible level. So that people may read of GOD and His word and know why it is we of the Clergy are so devout and assured of His compassion and absolution. There is no part of the dogma which bars us from sharing the Scrolls, and I resent that I am disallowed to do so, to help my Flock better understand GOD and His will.

2) The canonization of Richard de Bar and Otto Rovin as a Saints. The accusations of simony and bribery by previous Pentarchs regarding the canonizations in the Golden Bull which sainted them has been presented in the previous Golden Bull of Dibley. However, the High Pontiff has not consulted any of the current Pentarchs regarding the subject, nor has he called for a vote on the matter.

3) The appointment of the following men to the Curia; Clement August von Ponce and Tobia of Montfort. I have never met or seen either of these men in all of my life, and I have been an active and successful converter, confessor and preacher since my return to Vailor many years ago. It bewilders me that men who do absolutely nothing are appointed positions in the Curia. Only men whom are active in the Ministry should receive positions of this stature, otherwise their duties shall go undone, and these duties are imperative to the Ministry of the Church.

4) The appointment of Oscar of Norfolk to the Pentarchy of the Faith. I have met Oscar of Norfolk once, and in that instance the only thing he spoke of was secular affairs. Of how Ashford would not bend to our reverant Emperor, John Frederick. Never have I seen him offer a word of GOD to the smallfolk or hold ceremony or mass. A Pentarch of the Faith should be a revered Priest, whose ecclesiarchal accomplishments are renowned and who is active in the Ministry. This man is quite the opposite, a mere placeholder for a vote which decides the very Vicar of GOD. Such a thing is not acceptable.

I reiterate, I am a fervent and whole-hearted supporter of the High Pontiff, His Holiness, Everard II. He is a wise and pious man beyond the scope of many. It is not within his power to correct all of these wrongs, I know, but it is within his power to correct some.

By the Grace of GOD,

~ Metropolitan and Bishop of Felsen and the Crownlands, Iosif tau Roiye

To his Eminence, Bishop Iosif of Felsen,

Your concerns are unfounded and I wonder from where where you derive those accusations. I've never disclosed or discussed this issue with the Pentarchy as of yet. I am open to the spreading of the faith to the flock, and if you properly consulted me we might have convened the Triarchy to deal with such things.

As for the Canonization of both St. Otto and Richard, such things were to wait until more were appointed to our Triarchy. With the constant struggles and diplomatic meetings which I have been dealt I have found little time to actually convene the Triarchy. Furthermore, the appointments to the Curia are my counselors, and thus my decision, not yours. Tobia is versed in theology and Clement von Pont served in the Felsen Cathedral before your rise within our clergy.

In the appointment of Oscar of Norfolk, as you're perfectly aware, he was appointed by my predecessor, may he rest well within the the High Heavens.

I the Vicar of GOD, will always strive for the unity and development of our church and her faithful. I ask you to see to those issues personally and in future, consult me instead of committing to a public petition.
