On a side note, please let's not continue arguing over this. This has been polled, debated over, and decided on. It's done now, continuous debate will only serve to rile people up to no meaningful end.

Mhm, I've only heard of this issue offhand recently but skimming through the comments I find it silly that people are so focused on having the MAT remove cliques. Unless things have drastically changed since I left, the MAT is a glorified secretary office. No offense meant, I love you guys and the work you do, but while the old MAT controlled lore and had obscenely difficult applications, the newer one not so much. Which I think is very good.(!) I'm happy to see that the team is working together and taking community opinion into account. As an aside:  Cliques are heavily based on player attitude, and unless you implement a rule like "You can't teach your friends" nothing will change. And a rule like that would be incredibly silly. Cliques tend to come about because, as you spend time with another player, you trust them. Who would you be willing to teach magic more, your friend who you know is a decent RPer and knows the lore, or some random who asks you to teach them. Anyways I've kinda gone off on a tanget here, but any sort of general change in cliques is on the players and how they decide to act, roleplay.

Anyways, I think the orderlies have caught up with me, so back to the LOTC retirement home I go. o/

And what now then? What are you going to do against the player created cliques?

You can master two or three magics so you should be able to teach two or three magics?

"If we make LESS people able to teach, then MORE will learn!"

I apologize if I'm missing something obvious, but that doesn't work the way you think it works.

Make more teachers and allow people to advance, that's a thing too. If you don't do that then perhaps you need to think about what you are doing with contributing to the clique's.

Where are these mythical teachers coming from you speak of?  Are you saying that somehow we'll get MORE teachers?  What stops somebody from becoming a teacher already?  It's hard to have civil debates when you keep going round in circles.

If you would explain, kindly, from point A to point B how reducing the number of teachers creates more teachers, I would be very willing and open to having a dialogue. As it stands, I cannot see the correlation, and you are not explaining it to me.

Snide comments about "my contribution to the clique system" are also a bit unwarranted, seeing as for years now I have interacted and trained people outside of traditional cliques that the Order gets interested folk from. Me and mine caused quite a stir a year or so ago when Ouity and Isabella trained about 15 people who had absolutely no association with the Order.

Make no mistake, the Order gives ANYBODY who comes to us a chance to learn Druidism, and when I hear about people who are reluctant to train X player, I personally pursue the topic to make sure that person has a chance. Keep your snark to yourself.

So if I had a TA for telekinesis a few months back but forgot the magic, can I self-teach myself the magic again?

Yes, deity magic would prevent using telekinesis however.
