I may of read it incorrectly, if I have please correct me fire but it seems like one side could capture the other and if it is a 24/7 thing (until such a time it gets removed) wouldn't that mean a sneaky plan of being on when the other side is offline could be done?

There is no real way around that. In theory let's say if it switched and the humans captured that central area then the Dwarves would have a hard time capturing it as well. This is something I observed and we will be adding a few implementations to the PvP-Zone as far as terrain to hopefully offset this imbalance of "I showed up first so I win." A start to this last night was more control points closer to Oren's camp.

Overall I think it is amazing. One improve/ question is why is the Dwarven trenches designed to well with a lot of detail and the human trenches is just soulsand and dirt. I think the human trenches need to have more detail in them.

With what I said above we have plans to improve the zone to make it more consistent.

Free PvP Zone? I thought it's a roleplaying server, not a PvPing server.

This war was led up through RP means and this zone is not even 1% of the map. You are more than welcome to hang around the Orenian camp and write stories of each battle, help patch up wounded soldiers or what have you. None the less it is far away from anything to hurt RP, but I do understand your point.

Was the for a little while, was fun but for the love of LotC do not put too much resources on this..this must not be near a priority focus. It's fine to have this as a test but if this is going to be a reason people want wars then we've taken a step backwars. This needs to be a rare thing.

you don't get to complain when you get a comfy wooden fortress to hide behind

If both of the trenches/fortifications were both identical it would be

- Pretty bland

- Reasonably unfair, since the defenders should probably get, you know, the defences. I like how it is tbh.

To those complaining that this is just something to appease PvPers - yes, yes it is. But hell, I'm having a good time RPing that my Orc is currently freezing his arse off as he scouts out the front lines. RP can be made in pretty much any situation, it just takes a little thinking. Chill out.

I find this idea very fun when the both sides are on. Sometimes in my timezone it's just oren on which can be boring but other than that it's fun. Also this helps me because I'm not aloud on at the times of normal warclaims.

I will admit that a lot of physical build labor went into this project. To lay fears (or hopes?) to rest I am not going to say this kind of PvP-Zone will pop up in every single warclaim and in every single warzone, to this degree. But, when you have two large factions fighting one another and they are both nations it makes sense to have something added to the war instead of a lag fest every weekend. Call it a dynamic, implementation, concept or really what have you, but the goal for it was to be fun. It was an investment made for the community with the goal to create more consistent warfare throughout the week and to also provide a fun option to people who generally raid. Since raiding was harshly cut back this is our response to complaints. RPers can RP in their capital without the worry of a giant war party showing up and those war parties can test their skills on the battlefield. Yes, there will be issues and it will be impossible to please everyone, but for now i'd say that this trial run is going off with a lot of positive feedback.

On a side note if anyone has feedback at all on war you can always message me or contact me on Skype. I would love to have conversations with people about this and hear more in-depth reviews of what has been done thus far.

Well the idea is cool and fun even for a non PvPer such as me don't get me wrong there, It's a good concept like you describe but I'm just worried this will suck too much time and that players will simply be there a lot more than in a city RPing.

Players who aren't in a city rping anyway usually just are not online in the first place.

That's not remotely true..

Look this is great for players to take out their lust for fighting as long as it isn't going to turn into something that players prefer above RPing. Just that.
