The Barony of Riverhold 

 

The quaint Barony of Riverhold is surrounded by lush farmland to the west, and thick woods to the east, its surrounding lands are dominated by the fortress of Riverhold. The lands and all surrounding are governed and controlled by the rightful Masterly House of Mallister, serving under the duke of Lorraine. The fortress protects the vital bridge south of Summerhall, along with it's strategic position the town contains lush fields of grain, a common sight within the entirety of the duchy of Lorraine.

 

Every four years a feast is held within the barony to celebrate the harvest and the harvests of the future. The day the feast is held is not specified.

 

The Barony of Riverhold is new to Oren, having been a simple fortification named 'Drieden Castle', however after the arrival of the masterly house of Mallister mass construction began. The Barony holds a lovely view of the River Lorraine and the farmlands upon its banks. The ruling House of Mallister have had a close relationship with the villagers of the barony, the men of Mallister have been known to walk among the villagers, and initiate in conversation with them as equals... This has created a atmosphere which makes the barony feel closed off from the rest of the world, and gives a peaceful feel to the surrounding lands. The barony hosts a few cottages, forming a small village within the fields, those of which are the following.
