Ioannis stands in the middle of Kal'Akash, watching the union of the desert and the snowy mountains. But he felt empty.
He observes the young dwarves getting trained to be legionnaires, humans and elves beside them, training for the siege.

After a while, he moves his eyes on Grand Emperor and a weak smile forms on his face.

"People of Vanderguan, this war has been a plague as many of our young ones died to defend their homeland, to defend the land
of where they grew. We have been fighting for years and watched as our friends and kin die in this pointless war. And yet again
soon we will be called to arm ourselves and defend our lands once more, as Kal'Ordholm soon will be under siege. Many think
of surrendering, others of joining Oren and betray their Emperor."

He pauses and looks around as people gather around him. He then rides his horse and with a loud voice:
"We do not fight for power, we fight for our own survival! Oren wants to conquer all but we will not allow them.
Urguan stopped them in Athera alone, but this time we are more! Afraid not as the time to strike has come and united
we will drive the Orenians out of our lands and end this war that took away our beloved ones!"

He then points to Rhewen. "There is the person that i followed to the most fierce battles, the person i trusted
my life to. There is not a single one who could lead us to victory than him."

He raises his sword and yells "Narvak oz Rhewen!".

"When a runt pokes its superior, it is forced to accept its punishment. Just so, as this 'Grand Empire' attacks its own superior, it will be punished."

Rhys Roke 's lips thinned into a straight line as he gripped his longsword's pommel tightly, retorting to Oscar in a sarcastic manner.

"Never surrender."

His gaze then drifted vehemently onto a planning map for the siege, features overwhelmed by a grin as a steely glare was sent towards the next fortress to be presumably taken.

Bertrand coughs, having accidentally choked on his omelette when the speech was recited to him by his farmhand. Recovering, he comments, "The phrase 'we fight for our own survival' is ironic. The only thing killing their people is this war. Surrendering would not lead to their deaths."

Daeron would speak to the Dwarven host gathered for training.

"Keep training, boys. If Oren wants to get a foothold on the mainland we're gonna make damn sure they have their work cut out for them."

Britannus Vanir frowns as he hears of the speech.

"It was not the soldiers of Urguan that stopped us. Rather, it was the cold winds that blew from the top of the mountain, that would freeze the wheels off of our siege equipment. I still don't understand why and how that stopped legions of thousands of men." He'd shrug, looking to his recently knighted son, Ser Fiske, "We'll get them this time."
