Cathar

As Dez stood in his room, overlooking Salariat, he could see how the town was improving. The streets were properly paved, security was well maintained, and shops were able to stay open without fear of robbery - for a fee, of course. Homes were cropping up, and the town was steadily becoming something to be proud of. Cathar were steadily arriving, and being put to work. Each time a Tribal Leader joined Salariat, they were integrated into a council, and worked together to represent the Cathar people. The Motto they had all agreed on, was "For the Cathar, not the Tribes" and they attempted to always keep the peace between themselves, by remembering it. Decisions made by the Cathar Council, were sent along to Dez, who integrated the decisions as well as he could, while keeping the peace with the Exchange Mercs. A level of leniency between the Cathar Council and Dez was understood, and so long as Dez did he best integrating the policies, things went smoothly. The Cathar, being the ones who had lived on the planet for so long, were primarily assigned to work on farming, and domestication of the Giant Horned Hoppers, which would provide meat for the residents of Salariat.

The first order of business with the Cathar Council was the usage of opposing Cathar slaves. It was decided that any Cathar previously captured could be kept as slaves, and any Cathar tribes that refused to cooperate with Salariat, and the Exchange was free game for slavery.

Royd's training was going well, and he would soon be able to return to his regular duties as Dez's assistant. Nellis' training  was going equally well,  as he would soon be able to lead more assaults against the Cathar that refused to join Salariat.

Dez also made it a point of finding out each tribe was particularly good with, before integration.

Any tribes good with land, animals, or without any particular skills, were set to farming of any available, edible plant life, and domestication of the Giant Horned Hoppers (Newly named Kroliki, because Giant Horned Hoppers is a freaking mouthful).

Cathar with particular good technical skills were placed under the more technical mercs, who now ran general maintenance of the city (when not in combat training). The few who proved themselves capable, were even given a (closely monitored) tour around the Aether.

The Cathar who were the most powerful fighters, were given spare mercs armor, knives, and taught how to properly fight with a knife, so they could be useful, in case of a proper fight.

-ACTIONS-

1. Farms were built, and the Giant Horned Hoppers (Kroliki now) were domesticated.

2. Cathar were intergrated into everyday life.

3. Groups of mercs were sent out daily, to capture any Cathar tribes that opposed joining Salariat and the Exchange.

4. Cathar with good technical skills were placed in the maintenance section of the city.

5. Cathar who excelled at fighting were taught simple melee fighting skills, and given armor, in case they were needed to fight.

6. Shops would begin paying a small fee for "protection" and the right to run a business within Salariat.

The hollow hum of gargantuan engines hum throughout the wide and long running hallways of the Shannon. The clatter of boots can be heard shattering the hum as the metal flooring shakes violently. The loudspeakers slowly fizzle and crack before booming to life next to the loud ringing of a siren. Admiral Zapel's voice booms over the loudspeaker system, "All men to stations, preparing for input of coordinates for fleet jump. Any crew found not at their station before the jump, will be given severe reprimand and beating by security."

After what seemed like an eternity of the siren ringing after the loudspeaker the blasted thing shuts off. Anyone with a lucky view of an external viewport could see vast lines of blue and pure white zooming by. As if brilliantly painted art adorned the walls of space to give sailors a glimmer of beauty in their dim lives. The officers of each department are sent an extra load of rations. A simple reward for each department, or greedy and gluttonous officer. He did not want his crew remotely miserable before a possible encounter with an enemy fleet.

The 12th Imperial Fleet warps into being outside the lush green planet of Dantooine. Admiral Zapel grimaces at the sight of the listing Terminus Destroyer floating in space, its engine weakly propelling it forward. Many little ships, almost insect like, swarming over the destroyer. Their spotlights being utilized to examine the darker end of the ships, and the extent of damages. He relaxes his tensed muscles slightly since he neither sees Tull's fleet engaged with the Republic nor Dantooine suffering from planetary bombardment.

His Imperial fleet of warships slowly forms into a clean and tight formation. He slowly meddles with his hands before rising from his command chair. Zapel's feet shuffling towards communications quickly, a datapad resting under his arm. He immediately sends a direct message to Tull's flag ship with the news of his arrival, and then proceeds to open direct communication lines with Tull.

Tatooine

The planet of Tatooine seemed to be going very well as the first sightings of green appear around the plate as proof of how well the Terraforming was going, something to be proud of the housing process continues to go as plan with nightly patrols going through the cities and towns and crushing any growing criminal organizations while also setting up a sense of law in the previous lawless planet with jury's and judges in every town along with officers. The industry continues to boom along with the infrastructure as roads become more defined and the highways between the cities are patrolled and guarded by heavily armed forces along with security check points. Training also begins while the new housing project continues, rigorous training at that as they do it weekly while a few troopers are discharged when they cant handle it and replaced with new recruits to be put to the test. The Military wing of Mos Eisley also grows to hold a squadron or two of Supremacy Class Fighters and imperial shuttles making the military wing of the city stronger and faster to dispatch soldiers around the planet. Plans to create a new operational space port continue to be put into play as supplies are set aside for the massive space port that would be made in the future.

This meditation lasted longer than expected, until FINALLY. The loud 'clink, clink, clink' could be heard continuously as sand-troopers and riders began to move out.

Vemum quickly stepped out of his chambers, leading a quarter of the army onto the sandy dunes of Saleucami. The many sand-troopers paced with him through desert/swamp of Saleucami. The sight of many troopers and one sith can be seen marching towards one of the colonies on the arid planet. As they arrived, he patrolled down the streets with his troopers, deploying a few with orders on each of them.

Jhes Bralor looks upon his Legion of Mando'ade, various regiments and squads lined up with the yellow Lieutenants at the front, the red, then the common blue.  Off to the side stand Jhes' personal squad of Mandalorians, adorned in black and gold armor like his own. Their ships await above Balmorra while the troops prepare for landing.

"Vod! Today is our first major offensive in decades! Today we strike a blow to the Republic for all clans of Mandalore!

Today...we reclaim our glory!"

Cheering resounds through the ranks, before slowly they all quiet. Three voices begin to hum, before they all join in. Then they begin to chant, louder and louder.

"Kote!

Cathar

As Dez read through the general report for Salariat (Economics, Military, Criminal, Etc.) he glanced at Challi, who was standing by the door patiently, waiting for orders. Dez set down the general report, and pulled up a more specialized report on the criminals recently caught by the towns guard. He slowly looked through each and every entry, and selected four of them. He pulled their names into a separate entry into his datapad, and sent the list to Challi.

"I want these four criminals brought to me, in chains."

Challi silently nodded, and stepped out of the room. Dez liked her. She was efficient. She also never questioned his orders. And he hadn't even needed to control her mind.

Dez sat down, and picked up the report on the progress of the Kroliki farms. They had managed to capture a few Kroliki, and we attempting to domesticate them.

Dez tossed the report to the side, and picked up his glass of Corellian Whiskey. He grinned at his reflection in the whiskey, the amber colors making his skin seem far darker than he really was.

A few minutes later (and glasses), later, Challi, along with several guards, escorted the four prisoners into Dez's room. Dez glanced at each prisoner, staring into each persons eyes for a few moments. Three of the prisoners scowled back at Dez, but the fourth seemed about ready to wet himself. Dez grinned at each in turn, and stood up.

"Congratulations, scum. Today is your lucky day. You were caught trying to screw over the Exchange. It's lucky for you that the Exchange representative, which is me, is quite forgiving. The four of you are now potential recruits for the Exchange, under my jurisdiction. There is only one thing I need the four of you to do."

Dez walked to his window, and looked outside. The town below was busy, and seemingly peaceful, as it should be. Dez turned back to face the criminals, and smiled.

"While the four of you are all potentially recruits for one of the most lucrative criminal organizations in the galaxy, only one of you get to actually join. The other three, die. Go ahead, talk amongst yourselves, figure out who joins. Bloodshed is encouraged as well."

Dez sits back, and motions for the guards to let the prisoners at each other. The three who had scowled started beating on each other, until only one of them was still able to stand. Suddenly, the one who looked like he was going to piss himself, leapt on his back, and jammed a knife he had pilfered from a guard in the prisoners neck. Before the guards could stop him, he slit both other prisoners throats as well, before dropping the knife, and letting himself get tackled to the ground. He grinned up at Dez, the innocent, cowardly prisoner act replaced by someone who can both read situations, and manipulate them. Dez nodded solemnly and motioned for the guards to let the prisoner up. Dez studied the prisoner more closely as he stood up.

The prisonerwas Omwati, barely an adult, and seemed thin and lanky, but he had just taken down all three of the larger prisoners, so he cleared had some strength in his scrawny arms.

Dez offered his hand to the boy, and they shook hands.

"Congrats. You'll now be working directly beneath me. Whatever life you had before this is gone. You'll need a name though. Take one of the other prisoners. I don't really care who."

The Omwati boy decided on the name of Grazz, the last one standing. Dez sent Grazz to Royd, with the orders that Grazz be given special training, to improve on his already exceptional skills. Nellis is sent a warning that he will be getting Grazz as a student after Royd.

Dez also sends orders with Challi, to have an announcement sent throughout the town, that a settlement will be set up one another planet, with the intentions of creating a lumber yard, so Salariat can start producing goods that require large amounts of wood.

-ACTIONS-

1. The Omwati boy, Grazz, begins training with Royd, along with the other mercs.

2. An announcement is sent out, with the intent of gaining volunteers to be relocated to a lumber yard/settlement on a nearby planet.

3. Farms were being built, and the Giant Horned Hoppers (Kroliki now) were being domesticated.

5. Groups of mercs were still sent out daily, to capture any Cathar tribes that opposed joining Salariat and the Exchange.

((Is Saleucami an Imperial planet or what? If it's republic, I don't think you can just waltz into the system without duking it out in space.))

Torkah caught the fist of a soldier, grabbing onto it and delivering a swift kick to his stomach before the soldier broke off the attack, and charged him again. Torkah went to deliver another kick, but this time the soldier dodged and delivered a kick to Torkah, causing him to fall. The soldier moved in to finish Torkah while he was done. Torkah threw himself back up and met the soldier's punches with his own. After a short while. Torkah delivered a roundhouse kick to the soldier's stomach, putting him on the ground. Torkah then place his foot on his chest before the soldier could get back up, and then helped up the soldier.

The one-thousand men had come a long ways since the first day Torkah had taken them under his command. For one thing, they were in far better shape than they had been. While at first many of them would have gone down after a good beating, now they could best be described as walking tanks, taking hits and dishing them right back out. That being said, their strength had increased greatly as well. Their speed was also greater. Tactically, they had transformed from going around as one massive, disorganized group to a coherent army, which moved as one united force.  Furthermore, they became better and using their surroundings to camouflage themselves or take cover. Their accuracy had also gone from acceptable to deadly. However, the most important thing they had gained was a sense of brotherhood and fellowship. During their combat drills, Torkah had created one rule that had seldom been broken: No man left behind. He couldn't have been more proud. Luckily for Torkah, the council had chosen the right time to test his men.

Torkah watched from above as his army stood about, organizing into squads and battalions. The opposing army stood sorted up into blocks. Already, the council was favoring the opposing general's army to his own because of their more traditional organizational skills. The two armies started roughly one and a half clicks apart from each other and each soldier was given the blaster of his choice, all of which had been customized to fire off stun rounds. The terrain wasn't forgiving. In between the armies were several hills, which were surrounded and covered in brush with clearings here and there.

Finally, the battle began. Torkah's army wasted no time and quickly moved to get what snipers they had up on the hills. The opposing army got moving, though it took them slightly longer. They were rushing their scouts to get to the top of the hills while the rest of their army moved in deeper into the brush. Torkah's army moved slowly, apparent by the movement of the brush. The first shots were fired, not from within the brush, but from the tops of the hills. Torkah's snipers had wiped out several opposing scouts, leaving the army blind. Torkah watched as his army suddenly stopped moving and then blaster fire began. Everyone could see the shots ripping through the brush, though it was not apparent as to who was winning. Suddenly, shots began to come in from the flank of the opposing army. Soon enough, the entire opposing army was in full retreat, and Torkah's was pushing through the bush, cutting them down. By the time the battle was over, Torkah's army was successful. While the entire opposing army of 1000 people had been taken out, Torkah's army had only taken 327.

After looking at the numbers, the high council turned to Torkah.

"Well, the numbers speak well," the head of the High Council told him, "however, we would like to see more applicable numbers. We are going to be looking around the nearby planets. We will be finding where the nearest Sith or hostile planets are located at. In the mean time, please write up a manuscripts of what kind of training you put your soldiers through."

"Could it be one of the planets in the sector?" Torkah questioned

"No," the head of the council replied, "all the planets in this sector are either republic controlled or neutral. We have recently engaged in economic relations with all of the republic planets in this sector, which has allowed us to get a more credits. Therefore, we will be supplying your troops, along with all the rest, with armor before we attack the Sith. Also, we will be providing our troops with some armored vehicles and putting more money towards our fleet."

Torkah nodded before asking "How goes the fleet?"

"Quite well, actually." the head of the council informed him. "We have a Valor class cruiser, the Indomitable, acting as our flag ship, along with four Hammerheads, four Thrantas, two carriers, two-hundred-ten Liberators, forty bombers, twenty five shuttles, and ten salvaged cargo ships turned into lightly armed and armored transport ships."

Torkah gave the head a concerned look, "That's a lot of ships, just how much did it cost to build them in such a short amount of time."

The head of the council stared back, a tired expression on his face "A fair bit, which is why we need you to go and conquer a hostile planet. I have sent you data we have on various naval battles which have taken place, in hopes you can gather some strategic knowledge. If you don't do so and you fail to take a hostile planet, then our administration will receive a lot of backlash over the build up and I can't guarantee they will be as willing to aid you.

Torkah nodded, understanding how dire the situation was.

Actions:

Iridonia has built a navy consisting of 1 Valor class cruiser, 4 Hammerheads, 4 Thrantas, 2 carriers, 210 Liberators, 40 bombers, 25 shuttles, and 10 lightly armed and armored transport ships.

Iridonia has opened up economic relations with Republic systems in the Glythe Sector, strengthening their economic power.

Iridonian troops will be given armor and improved training.

Iridonia is searching for nearby hostile systems and any knowledge available on their defenses. MOD PLZ

Torkah will be studying naval tactics and lightsaber combat.

Fall of the Light

Lord Tull exits the Market district holding in his hands the Lightsaber of the fallen knight Kai'Tu'Do. The Chiss's corpse lays cut in two at the waist as he looks upon the chaos in the district.

A soldier ducks down behind some cover "This is Captain Tyro of Reaper Battalion...the local slaves are revolting! We need more support!" a blaster bolt slams into the cover he is using as chunks of metal debris fly through the air raining down upon his armor harmlessly "How did they get armed!?.." the Captain looks over "You two! Suppressing fire!" Captain Tyro breaks cover as he charges a slave position gunning them down as he jumps over the cover, landing on a knee he aims once again firing several more bolts into an enemy fortification downing several slaves. Suddenly over the entire city intercom Lord Tulls voice can be heard

"This is Lord Tull, attention all slaves and traitors who dare rise against us. Your leader is dead, slain by my hand. His lifeless corpse now lays within the streets, his apprentice in custody..the Republic Soldiers are dead. This is your last and final warning...Surrender yourselves to the Empire now or receive no trial as my soldiers are ordered to offer no mercy to those who continue to fight."

Several hours later, smoke can still be seen from the city but the fighting had died down. Reinforcements arrived and had steamrolled through the insurgent forces forcing them to surrender or flee. Either way the battle for the capital was over. Lord Tull stands at the landing pad with several soldiers and a Young Human Jedi Knight in cuffs. The shuttle finally lands Lieutenant Maer exits the shuttle with 2 squads of men "My Lord. The Admiral remains above planet, our men report that all insurgents have either been destroyer, captured, or retreated into the wilderness." Lord Tull nods "I am aware." he looks down to the Jedi "I hope you're ready...Jedi, I'm your new Master now. Take him away." A soldier walks up behind the young jedi slamming him with the butt of his rifle "Move it Republic Scum!" the company moves aboard the shuttle, Maer and Lord Tull stay behind a few moments.

"My lord..you're hurt."

Lord Tull looks down to her "I am fine Maer." She nods glancing to the men as they board the shuttle "But perhaps at least let me take your to the Medical Wing once we're aboard."

Lord Tull smirks at her "For a lowly officer Lieutenant you show much concern for your Commander."

She turns and moves towards the shuttle "Its my duty sir.."

Lord Tull follows "Lieutenant." she would stop and look back "Once we are on board and everything is ready, Come to my chambers. This is not an order, but an invitation" The Lieutenant nods "Of course my Lord" she allows herself a small smile before continuing on.

One by one, the Imperial reinforcements had come. Traveling in small packs to minimize losses, they entered Kashyyk's space. The fleet is welcomed with an honor guard from the  Wookiee military council. The fighting ships that were requested remain stationed in space. Soon they would receive their orders. For now the eighth Republic reserves are stationed on the moons. Though primarily fighting ships were requested, some troops came with the fleet. The reservist army would begin intense training under Gaarlof. His Wookiee training cadre would put some steel in them. As per Gaarlof's plan, this was the first wave. The Republic would hopefully continue their plan to send waves of reinforcements. For now though, what he has will suffice. The Republic admiral and Reservist general are invited to a war meeting.

Seated in around an oval table, the Admiral, General, Gaarlof, and Wookiee military council begin their meeting. It is agreed that for now a direct assault on a Sith world is not in the picture. Gaarlof persuades them to take it slowly, a step at a time. Instead the Admiral agrees to escort a small army detachment. Their purpose is not yet revealed, as it'll take planning. Besides that naval element, the rest would form into small packs. They would travel to the fringes of mid rim Republic space. Their object would be to protect shipping and worlds from raids. They also would act as advanced scouts, the eyes of Kashyyk. Besides that the council argued and planned. The reservist would be re-equipped from Gaarlof's army. Their quality of blasters and armor would not hold up in a long campaign. From there they would be trained for as long as possible. Once deemed ready, the troops will begin to merge into Gaarlof's army.

The new flood of Wookiee recruits will receive different orders however. More then expected had answered their Jedi's call. The problem of communication was soon an apparent problem within the army. To solve this, translator droids are doubled. Each commanding officer will have one, to better communicate with Wookiee officers. The recruits are put into all Wookiee regiments, and then begin training. Though most were fit, the biggest problem was a lack of discipline. They would be broken down then built back up as true soilders, not warriors. The Wookiee's would be specialist and shock troops. Heavily armed, they are the core of the new army.

Finally a small army is ready. They are loaded into transports on the three moons. Not knowing their mission, they settle in for a possibly long flight. Some five thousand Republic troops, stiffened with a five hundred strong Wookiee unit. Gaarlof always followed the policy of quality. He kept his army deliberately small, so they could receive better training and supplies. His army was well supplied, having only the best they could find. A small amount of numbers could mean nothing, if used right. After a few weeks, the mission is made clear.

Togoria is home to a peculiar feline species. The males roamed in packs, while the females stayed in communities. They had no global loyalty to any large faction within the galaxy. Instead they warned off intruders, killed those who didn't listen. However as Gaarlof's fleet arrived, they did not intrude. Staying a respectful distance in orbit, a message is broadcasted. To every male nomad tribe, and every community on Togoria. Gaarlof pitches the glory of the Republic, it's ideals and joint unity. Trying to show that all races are included, showing how the Wookiee's have begun to. He makes it look like a shining beacon, against the dark tendrils of the Sith. He ask, with the power of the Republic, for the male tribes to answer his call on a great adventure. They would be paid and supplied, to aid in the quest against the dark side.

Cathar

Dex closed communications with the Zabrak, Deli-something, and leaned back in his chair. Soon, the Aether would be leaving with the volunteers heading to Corstris, to set up the new settlement. The Aether would stay in orbit above the settlement after lodging was set up, to act as a relay between Salariat, and Corstris. After lodging, the workers would begin cutting down trees, to bring back to Salariat. Grazz's training with Royd was over, and his training with Nellis was beginning. By the end of the training, Grazz would be a formidable killing machine, and, if Dez had any say, a loyal one too. Challi had been sent back to her unit, as Royd had also finished training mercs for stealthier operations. Dez turned to his desk, and picked up his datapad, to finish up his report to the Exchange's sector chief. Once he finished writing it, and sent it, he got up, and went downstairs, to the bar, to kill some time.

-ACTIONS-

1. The Aether took the volunteers, and several thousand mercs, to Corstris, to begin setting up lodging, and lumber yards.
