As One War Ends, Another Begins

Ugluks, Raguks, Braduks, Gorkils, Laks, and Lurs found themselves staring one another down at from atop a pair of parallel hills. On one side, the Ugluk alliance stood stoically upon a slightly raised plateau, looking down into the valley that separated the Ugluk and Raguk forts. Opposite the Ugluks, the Raguk alliance loomed impressively just ahead of their own walls. Warhorns blared on both sides and soon the opposing forces marched down the ridge, blood would be spilled in the shadow of the valley.

Arrows darted across the valley, ripping apart the flesh of those brave Orcs who entered the killing zone. The sound of metal on metal soon rang out, Orcs who were once brothers found themselves locked in deadly combat, Orcish limbs and pools of blood dotting the white sands upon which the Orcs clashed. However, a sort of strange aura lingered over the surviving Orcs, a sort of stillness not felt for centuries. Something dark had been unleashed with the spilling of Orcish blood, and whatever it was demanded Orcish blood.

In the thick of battle, the Wargoths of both Ugluk and Raguk found themselves pulled toward one another, as though their ancestors demanded the blood of the other drench the sands in red. Drokon and Kharak clashed in a duel unlike any seen in generations of Orcish combat, it appeared to last for hours as they exchanged blows, each absorbing attacks of incredible force, them delivering their own flurry of attacks. After awhile, the two found themselves on the edge of exhaustion, both now fighting at about half the intensity at which they began. As the two charged each other for what appeared to be the last time, an arrow drove itself into Drokon’s shoulder, the young Ugluk rolling out of the way of Kharak’s charge, the Raguk looking around for the source of the arrow, enraged that another Orc had ruined his chance for an honorable victory. Kharak soon found the source of the arrow fire as one slammed into his lower abdomen, blood pouring from the wound. The Azogs entered the fray in an effort to stake their claim upon the Uzg.

In that moment, the Ugluk and Raguk alliances found themselves at a crossroads; continue fighting each other and be annihilated by the strength of the Azogs, or come together and crush the rogue Orcs. The answer was simple, no honor would be had in allowing themselves to be defeated by the banished Orcs, instead the two sides rushed the Azog Orcs and chased them across the sands, finally cornering them along the north west peninsula after two days of a long, attrition-ridden pursuit. It was in that Peninsula that they slaughtered the Azogs, ripping apart their forces and putting them to death for their traitorous, dishonorable actions. What the Orcs did not realize though was that the fighting was far from over.

As the Orcs returned to the valley, they found the area empty, the bodies of their fallen brethren gone, their deaths now lost to the sands of time, rather literally. Dozens of the surviving Orcs cried out in rage, their brothers gone without proper send-offs to the spirit realm, both sides beginning to blame each other as tensions flared. Just as a second conflict between Raguks and Ugluks was to break out, the sky opened up with lightning slamming down onto the sands, turning it into shards of glass from the incredible heat. A sort of cackle filled the air, and out of nowhere dozens of fallen Orcish warriors rose from the ground, charging the group of survivors. The true Orcs now marched against the fallen warriors, whatever dark force cursed the Orcs clearly hoped to see them slaughtered.

After hours of heated combat against waves of fallen Orcish warriors from many eras of Orcish history, a pair of dark shamans revealed themselves to the Orcs. Hovering slightly above the valley, the two shadowy Orcs bragged to the survivors, vowing that they would soon return to finish what they had started, and they revealed themselves as Or’Ta and Or’Gok Dom, a pair of dark shamans who once lorded over the Dom clan during the devastating Clan Wars just prior to the birth of the First Rexdom of Krugmar. With their return, the Doms vowed to finish what they started all those centuries ago and take wipeout the Orcs who did not swear fealty to the so-called true Rexes of the Uzg.

With the end of the clan war, a new war began -  the War with the Doms.

So yall just kind of stopped fighting eachother.

((The Doms mentioned were the source of the hostility and hatred that sparked the clan war, via dark magic. With that revealed, there was no longer seen to be any legitimate reason for them to keep killing each other, especially since a much more serious threat to the Uzg has been identified (that threat being the Doms who were stirring up trouble.) So, yeah. The clan war stopped, but it was because they realized it would make no sense for it to continue, since it was just a tool Or'Ta and Or'Gok were using to weaken the Uzg.))
