THE SECOND

GOLDEN BULL OF HOLOFERNES

EAezrmo.png

The Pontifical Arms of Lucien III

From The Estate at the Holofernes. From the Hills of Sur on the southern continent of the Outremer, from the pen of the High Pontiff, Vicar of GOD, and his Synod. It is hereby decreed...

SECTION I:

Confessional Indulgence

The temptations of sin have plagued the kind of God since his first creation. The first brothers bickered over sin, fought against sin, and envied Horen in sin. Iblees’ curse upon our existence was the birth of sin, which draws its origin from the start of time. To free oneself of sin, you participate in confession and the such. To be completely absolved of all past sin, one can now pay an indulgence which shall lift the great weight of greater sin from their souls. Lesser sins, such as lust, envy, wroth, and the like will still be absolved by confession. Greater sins are defined in the harming of mortal souls, bodies, and minds.

SECTION II:

Heresy Expelled

The heresy of the vile Khalestinian Caliph has been absolutely abolished. The former actions of the pretender Faiz Kharadeen are known from Luciensport to the ruins of Brelus. His false teachings of heresy have been shown false by his own son, who has given up the title of Caliph. The ‘mosque’ of Al-Wakrah has been seized by the Church, with leave from the Lord Protector, to be redesigned as the Basilica of Saint Thomas, to establish Cistercia as a frontier for Canonism.

SECTION III:

Foundations of the Outremer

The Outremer was once a decrepit continent of paganism and heresy. With the submission of the Vandorian Kingdom to the True Canon, the northern half of the Outremer shall be established as a bastion of the one true Faith, a place for all Canonists to live without fear of being happened up by heathens or heretics. The Archbishopric of Cistercia is established in the Kingdom of Vandoria, to be presided over by an Archbishop.

SECTION IV:

Edict of Relocation

The former Bishop of Courland, Johannes of Riga, is to be relocated immediately by sea to the Basilica of Saint Thomas. He will be declared Archbishop of Cistercia, solidifying the Canonist faith in Vandoria and taking charge of the missionary movements to the various Vandorian desert and mountain tribes.

DEUS BENEDICAT,

HIGH PONTIFF LUCIEN III, Archbishop of Luciensport, Prince-Bishop of Visiga, Huss, and Holofernes, Successor of the High Priesthood of the Church, Principal Missionary of the Gentiles, Supreme Pontiff of the Church of True Faith, Keeper of the Canon, High Servant to the Exalted's Testaments, Humble Servant of the Faithful and Vicar of God.

Irsia, Sultaness of Al-Wakrah frowns, making her way to the seized mosque,

"As the peace treaty between the city and Vandoria stated cultural independance, including religion, as the teachings hardly differed, this is an unneeded move. Oren have never done well with people pleasing; perhaps a reason for their many rebellions." She'd mumble to herself.

Amethu Denaseth places a hand against one of the towering minarets of the masjid.

"What happened to our faith? What happened to our cultural freedom?"

The tired Amir would move to the entrance of the mosque.

Admiring it as a bastion of the Qalasheen people.

"Where are all the things we fought for?"
"All the dreams we shed our blood for?"
"Are they shabby now and fraying at the seems?"
"This was our vision"
"To endure the world's derision"
"What happened to our great Khalestine?"

The man would slowly take of his shoes and places them in the shoerack just next to the entrance.
Slowly kneeling down on the rug, The Amir would close his eyes for one last 'legal' prayer.

"Glory be to you, O Allah, and all praises are due unto you, and blessed is your name and high is your majesty and none is worthy of worship but you."
"Oh our Lord, all praise is to you."

"Lord of the Seven Heavens,  The Qalasheen people lost their faith, Help us, Oh our Lord, all praise is to you."
"Please, hear my plea as your humble servant: Help us, Remind us who we are."

"Oh Allah, the most Kind and the most Merciful, Remind us that:"

'We may bend, however, we do not break.'

"Ameen"

Publius frowns at the tone deaf move to convert the mosque, and prays that they accept its cultural significance far outweighs its symbolism for heresy. He hopes to arrive in the city before its removal.

"I'm confused, was the mosque converted or not? I don't reckon it is because It'd be a break of a treaty and constitution." states Al-Obditti, the Qalasheen Spring vet.

Arlen kharadeen peers up at the mosque, its architect and location symbolizing what the Qali truly stand for. "I am not an unreasonable man, but I vowed to allow my people to choose. This Golden Bull was merely an attempt to stir confusion in Khalestine, but the good people know that this place of worshop and mediation will stand as it would break our agreement made with the Lord 'Protector' of Vandoria."

An Explanation and Redaction

zdJOFBpcpwWkv4QUy6MAdhNGAfYJCoMNZotQJkWs

On the Issue of the Mosque

Firstly, this redaction shall begin with an expression of apology to those offended by the topic of the Mosque in the Second Golden Bull of Holofernes. The Pontiff and His Synod hereby redact such point, declaring it null. The source of error for such a mistake was in the broken communication between Vandorian Diplomats and the Pontiff himself. It seems that one letter, declaring that the mosque would be handed over as a cathedral, was not complete or was simply a draft for future topic of conversation between the Sultanate, the Church, and the Kingdom. The diplomat who sent such a letter to the Pontifficate will be reprimanded and removed from his position, the error being so grave that it infringed upon previous Treatises drafted between the Sultanate, Kingdom, and Church. Therefore, all previous statements regarding the Mosque of Al-Wakrah are null.

With sincere apology,

High Pontiff Lucien III
