The day was still young, and an old man lost his life.
It was the wrong choice of words which lead to his death.
A man who had truely seen many of the world.
He once stood atop the battlements of Barrowyk, wearing the Barbanov Tabbard with pride.
Now lying in a pool of blood, in a dwarven hold.

A small rivalry, and a duel to settle it.
The old man lived among friends, but his true brothers, died long ago.

“I’m off to see Tarcell now.”

Those were his last words, before entering the pit, And moments later he lost his head.

Richard Halmund, was now dead.

Axel would be watching the whole thing, sighing to himself before a tear would begin to form in his eye, he would walk into the pit, picking up the corpse to go and dispose it, "You were a good man, and I shall truly miss you, General. You have taught me much…" Axel would say, looking down at his brand new officer tabard, the same uniform that Richard used to wear..

OOC: Cya later dude, good fun rping with you through the days. You will be missed.

Richard Staunton frowns when he hears of his friends death. He ponders for a moment, gazing off the balcony into the still wilderness. He shakes his head and trudges back into the depths of Braaburg.

Thorburn slams his armored fist on a wall, cursing loudly. He makes a motion towards the footman who brought the news to leave, frowning.

"Sir Richard, you were one of the greatest men I had the honor to meet. You taught me so much... ."

He lowers his head once, sighing and sending a prayer to the great general of the Vigil. He raises his head, nodding to himself

"Your teachings were not in vain. I promise you, I shall pass them down to the new members. I shall make them great, just like you made us great."

He summons a Footman and tells him to rally the men. They had work to do, he thinks while exiting the Hillside Keep.
