A Simple Request

The Druidic Order.

An order which all druids, past and present, become members of once attuned. Becoming something much bigger than themselves, joining a family in which we bond and a brotherhood in which we swear to serve the ideals of the Aspects.

Groves rise and groves fall, circles thrive and circles dissolve but the Order is eternal.

For the Order to strive one mustn't believe themselves the authority to speak, or act, on behalf of it. As the Order stands for all members within, not all members within stand for the Order. Speak on behalf of one’s self, or on one’s circle and do not imagine yourself the exception, regardless of titles held (whether self appointed or circle voted).

The Aspects, Blessed Be Them, allowed us into their presence and granted their followers nature’s boon to be used at their behest. Guarding and preserving the natural order is our primary duty, such a burden is undertaken by the true children of the Aspects and followed through without a word against such, as is expected.

It is, however, seen that the circle that have proclaimed themselves the title of “The Mother Circle” have slowly been ignoring their duties and in their stead have chosen to forgo assisting in the preservation of the natural order by claiming that they are to not get involved with affairs of nations, or even other deity groups. Claiming that it is not in their best interest, simply showing that their own thoughts are put ahead of the Aspects.

The mother be disappointed while the father aids those worthy.

Archdruids of the aptly named ‘Mother Circle’, whom harbour coddled brothers and sisters, your representative at the recent meeting within the library of Dragur had calmly exclaimed their business in speaking for the Order as well as not taking in action in which to keep the natural order that those present so happily cause an imbalance within.

A simple request is handed to you, Archdruid of the ‘Mother Circle’.

Simple admission of the already known information that you, the ‘Mother Circle’, do not and cannot speak and/or act on the Order’s behalf. As well as the promise to uphold the natural order through action, not words and join the purge of corruption, just as they attempted a purge of the pure.

Signed,

Axis.

There is an area in which this is posted, if you find the note (sign) then feel free to comment. It's not hidden from the druids, simply takes a moment for you to find it. Hint, oasis grove inner housing.

Bertrand grunts, muttering to himself, "At this point, I'm a better druid than those of the 'Mother' Circle."

Artimec read the missing. He rubbed his chin fervently, and couldn't help but release an uncharacteristic snicker.

"My my, seems things have a way of setting themselves into motion."

He threw his cloak over his shoulders and quickly strode off into the night!

Toren resumes his mediation soon after reading, his face showing a sense of calmness as he travels through his own subconsciousness and from the outside would seem to be in translucent thought, though those who can read his mind would enter and find himself stuck within;

Lion Druid Henry reads the note over, frowning "I'll put that on the to-do list..." he'd grumble before wandering off.

The Hare Druid Taynuel grumbles, reading over the writing, shaking his head and curling his hand tightly around his staff. "Come say it to my face then, instead of writing rants about it and posting it about Vailor. Come forth, you spineless serpent that wrote this missive, and tell me I am doing my job incorrectly, that I may show you what it truly means to be a druid," he snarls, ripping the paper up and tossing it into the flames of the campfire before him.

"You who are not attuned yet speak as though you know all of druidism far better than the elders of the Order have no right to speak against her. The Druidic Order has no place in the petty wars of the descendants. Our duty is not to battle for man's worthless pride. We were chosen by the Huntsman and the Springmother to protect what they created. You may be willing to throw your life toward some pathetic cause most likely wrought of foolish arrogance, but I will not lower myself to that level. My duties lie in the preservation of nature and the balance. It is not my duty to raise a blade against those that you feel are unworthy of continuing in this world, for no man has the true right to decide who is deserving of life or death."

"I will walk the forests with my new kin. I will swim the river of truth wherever it leads me. As the trees watch over us, I will watch over others in need. I will seek to preserve the balance, even as dusk approaches. I hereby vow to uphold my duties as a Dedicant of the Druidic Order. That is the vow we must recite upon taking up the mantle of dedicancy. Nowhere in there does it say that we should participate in war, and why? Because both sides are in need. Both sides need assistance. We cannot choose between one or the other because both sides have reasons to fight, however petty they may be. This Urguan and Oren war has druids on both sides and it sickens me to know that on that battlefield they may clash blades and kill each other. Druids should not be attacking each other. It violates the code of conduct written by the Dragon Druid so many years ago."

"As for the Naelurir... they are a branch of the Mother Circle, so named because that is where they originated. If it were not for us, they would not exist in the same form as they do now. Whether or not they should exist varies between the druid you ask. But the individuals that went to that meeting went because they were invited and were intelligent enough not to violate the rules that were set down in the invitation. We were asked to send three of the Inner Circle, which does not in any way, shape, or form, include the Naelurir, despite our previous offer to allow the Hawk into the Inner Circle, which he forcefully declined. We chose three we knew wouldn't do something stupid."

Cheza finds the odd note while looking for her teacher, long before it was torn up (I’m a slow typer okay, was actually the first one to find it ;-;). After reading it over she then lays on her back in the sand, staring up at the now upside down writing in hopes it will make more sense this way. Sadly all the attempt does is trigger her nausea, the elf darting off and throwing up outside.

Once her mouth has been cleaned in the nearby river she murmurs to herself “Weirdos breaking into the grove and putting notes around... They clearly never spend time here cause they’re just saying a bunch of nonsense. We been cleansing land, been teaching a bunch of new dedicants and druids, and doing stuff like tending to the oasis. They think that’s nothing? That we ignore our duties? What about the druids like me who wander the land looking for other areas needing help and assistance? I’ve found void affected land, evidence of void horrors, found shrines, all sorts of wonders, and that’s nothing? What nations do is none of our business unless it affects the cycle. We helped some dwarves by repairing the damage done by an Oren siege camp a while back since they asked. Restored nature to that spot just like we'd do for anyone who asked.”

The Foxglove Druid shakes her head sadly before moving back to her small burrow to rearrange her pillows inside and rest once more. “A sad day when some fool thinks druids are supposed to go around purging things instead of tending to the cycle. Let paladins and clerics tend to purges unless it's tainted land, we've got enough stuff already to handle.”

Damai would stroll up to the people reading, replying to Taynuel "My, my you have become the aggressive type now, when you were teaching me you wouldn't even pick up a bow"  Damai would chuckle "No need to get angry at one stating the thing most druids, and Aspectists have been thinking, and as a matter of fact most have a spine and this man is not slithery or sneaky like a serpent, he stated ideas and opinions." Damai would end with one last chuckle, awaiting a response of some sort, if not he would stroll back off to do his buisness.

Taynuel does not gratify Damai with a response seeing as the elf has no reason to be at the Grove other than to mock and anger him, instead waving him away.

A shout echos across the desert in response!

"The only druids who believe that nonsense are the ones who stay behind the walls of Laureh'lin! And as someone who attended one of their gatherings trust me, the numbers aren't impressive!"

The shout is then followed by retching as the strain from shouting so loudly makes a certain elf ill again.
