As of late I notice more and more musicians among us LotC nerds so... who wants to do a collaboration? I myself play drums, percussion and a little bass. Comment who you are, what you can play and possible good songs to cover/collab and ****!

I am advanced in both violin and harp. My primary instrument is the violin (mine is an Amati) and I've the ability to play the harp, should someone need it.

 

Playing both piano and cello by ear isn't too hard, by the by.

For a while I played the cello, and I still technically do but it's entirely recreational now. One accomplishment I still take great pride in was being able to audition for a local university's honors orchestra, and actually making the cut, at the age of thirteen. I played there for five years and floated between fifth and third chair.

 

I've also played the trumpet and the baritone, but those were mainly because one school I went to did not support a strings section in their ensemble. I never played them outside of school.

 

I also played the electric bass in middle school for a start up alternative rock band called Burning Daylight. Let's not talk about that...

Well then. I actually like to compose music for fun. Nothing AAA professional over 9000 type stuff. It is just a hobby. If you guys want, I can try and whip up a song that uses all your instruments and base the genre on what everyone agrees on. I just won't do hip-hop, rap, death metal, or hard rock. I enjoy composing all types and genres of songs with any instruments. Also, if you all want a 'feel' to the song, I can also do that. What I mean by a feel is that in most of the music I make, I like to base it off of a emotion and/or concept such as happyness, strangeness, a werewolf, meditation, a symphony of hope, etc. 

 

I use a notation software on my computer called Silelius 7.5. With this software, I can compose scores with various instruments, print physical and digital copies of the Sheet music, Midi and wav files as well, amoungst other things. If i do make this song, I will gladly share ownership of it with everyone involved. Heck, if this turns out well, maybe we can continue on more songs? I guess we will see.

 

Other than that, I also can play the piano moderately well by ear. I can learn a tune very easily and pick out notes in chords relatively well as well if I have something like a piano to see if they sound the same. I can read music notes, though it is rather slow when I learn a song that way.
