My thoughts are that we are all here playing this nerdy block fantasy game and that all of our time is being equally wasted. No character is more important than another.

With all due respect, who are you to determine how another's character is played?

unfortunately this isn't a bethesda game where you can mod it to get around the built-in rules

I never said that, nearly stating the truth. We are in fact not forced to really do anything when it comes to aging. If the server did change this however, I'd be all for going along with. We are playing a game after all in which details like this could be considered trivial. Just because it ain't Bethesda doesn't mean it isn't still a game.

This post was meant to be a meme, guys... chill

But I might as well argue with you guys now. I personally believe that if you have left your character alone a long time, and he/she has autoaged, come up with an RP REASON! Don't just lower their age to make your rp more fun, it destroys lore. I've seen a character who has literally been 31 for at least 30 years, and it really grinds my gears. Next thing you know, that character is gonna have kids, and that character's kids will out age her! But yeah, also what everyone stated above, don't just set your age back if you don't want him/her to be old. You never know, you may like Old Person RP.

Not aging a human character contradicts the world lore that the human's curse:

"Horen, you wish immortality? I will curse you with the opposite, early death for you and your kin. You shall age quickly and die before you experience the fruits of your useless labour."

The downfall of the race is aging quickly. The server lore is not optional or supposed to be disregarded by any players. So it's not that I'm telling people how to play their characters but rather to follow the server's lore. If you dislike the server's lore you can propose to amend or change it or leave the server.

Yikes, I see this becoming less of a discussion with each reply. And while this all may be true(meaning the lore), we are all over looking one tiny little detail. If humans were never intended to be aloud to choose when they could age, why is there a mechanic to do just that? Why do they let us not automatically age, and this is true with other races too. We are infact only slightly nudged by the server to do so, even given a nifty little tool that the creators I'm sure knew would be used to its full.  I do appreciate your dedication to the server lore and maybe I just like playing devil's advocate but I will say both sides of this argument have its pros and cons. I'd like to agree to disagree, bevause there will always be "what if this though," or "but he/she is important," sort of variables. Good talk though, have a good one.
