Reaching 100 years on lotc as a human? Fear not, you can still be young, proud, wild and free!

It's very simple, check these three simple steps

I am pretty sure that happens with new characters seeing as people do not want to delete a persona with skills etc.

Not if that is what their personal character age should be and they left autoage on which messed up their age.

Your personal character age should be what autoage ages it at. You shouldn't be able to have a human that ages three times as slow as everybody else. It just doesn't work.

Nothing truly works because we play a game in which we define what we want to do...

... within the guidelines of the lore. And it breaks lore for a human to live much longer than 150 years.

Well let's assume that their character is really 40 or so but with age plugin it made them 130 due them wanting autoage at first then later not wanting it. Say that person how legit RP reasons to actually want their character to be 40. Let's assume they're not trying to keep that character around because of skills. Grant to me it seems most are against those who try to keep their character young due to other reasons like as mention before; skills.

Honestly, it doesn't matter if they want to stay 40. Years pass, and your character ages, no matter what. To age slower is just ridiculous.

It's obviously a /huge/ difference, if you keep /one/ character stuck on a certain age
or if you simply recycle the "aged" character chard by playing it as a new character.
No one wants to simply throw away a character card, espacilly when you invested a lot of time
into skills.
But I do agree, that it would be way more intersting and supports family rp a lot,

if you force people to deal with autoage and decline any attempt of letting their characters remain

on one set age.
Best examples are human nobles.
None of the noble players want to deal with autoaging their characters,

to simply keep the control of their land. In my opinion you should be forced to autoage your character,

once you receive land, even if you aren't "noble".

lol k. Ignore the orc violence, dwarf grinding and halflings being both hard working (or thieves) and dying early. Mhm.. When like 20% of humans I see have a character bio of 'Actual age 25'.

Maybe, if instead of autoage, choosing your own birthdate. It's basically the same, but it would clear up a few issues I see here.

Sandmeme, you've done it; Noice meme, mate.

But in all seriousness to the topic at hand, why are we all telling each other how to play our characters. I mean this is bad in a way but as long as you aren't an important figure (noble, legend, magically mage, and god knows what else) why does it matter if we force age or not? I will say I am one of those guilty of not aging my human main as much as the auto-age would normally, but this is simply because:

1) It was my first real character whom I enjoy very much.

2) I was newer so I grinded up my breeding skill without realizing the high aging rate.

3) Last but not least, I'm just a simple "peasant", like most, so I hold no real importance over anyone or anything.

See my reasons as you will, thought I'd just add this on.

this isnt the reason that most humans are 100+ on their character cards. most people autoage that play humans but humans die a lot and people play new characters and keep their persona so they set their age to something else via character card.  humans are the one race that normally permakills if they die in rp.

not being able to lower your age is really memetrash.

plus i really enjoy this autoage meme due to the fact autoage breaks every few months so autoage doesnt normally correlate to your actual age.

My thoughts are that we are all here playing this nerdy block fantasy game and that all of our time is being equally wasted. No character is more important than another.
