The Flight of the Crow

It was late into the evening and the soldiers of the Ashguard had just sat down in the dining hall, waiting for the famous halfling chef to cook the bear that they had hunted earlier in the day. Just then a soldier had rushed into the hall “The crows have come to us lads!” He said laughing heartily. The soldiers quickly jumped from their chairs excited to battle these brave crows. The valiant soldiers burst outside only to see the two crows, their arms full of cooked meats, they weren’t here for an honorable battle, they were here to cowardly steal food out of all things. The Ashguard soldiers stifled their laughter as the two comically tried to run away, slowed from the many pounds of provisions they tried to pilfer. Meat slipping and slithering from their arms as they waddled away. The Ashguard soldiers quickly caught up with the absconding crows, killing one and wounding the other. The wounded crow was brought deep into the bowels of the castle along with some grinning soldiers upset at the lackluster fight. The rest of the Dreadlanders sat back at the large table as the chef brought out the meal he had been preparing throughout the scuffle, the halfling and his aide served up a delicious deep fried bear with a side of collard greens. Screams could be heard as the soldiers devoured the expertly prepared meal. Finally the crow was brought back up, What are your plans for him?” Javier Ruric asked, taking a small drink from his cup. The men holding the crow gave devilish smiles, “Were gonna see if the crow can fly”.  The people of the dreadlands gathered around, setting up picnics and sitting in stands waiting to see a spectacle that was promised to them. A distant shout could be heard coming from the castle, “Ready!” the people looked up to see a couple of distant figures operating the trebuchet “Fire!” the trebuchet released, swinging a figure through the air. The crowd watched as the figure flew through the air screaming at the top of his lungs, until it finally crescendoed crashing into the ground, throwing up piles of dirt. The crowd hurried to the crash site to see the glorious flights aftermath, “I guess the crows really can fly.”

Walter sprints out of the Dreadlandic fort carrying all of the food, having infiltrated it for a second time this time making it away successfully "Hah they fell for our elaborate ruse!"

Robin Smiles. "Ah, yes, the Classic sacrifice two men and sets of armaments for a backpack of food strategy, truly a timeless and worthwhile trade-off."

((But yea honestly I dont see the point...

(( The point was that we had fun roleplaying, and people who were in the roleplay asked me to write a post about it so that we could share the fun roleplay that we had with the rest of the community

Destrian would walk out of the Dreadlands cart before looking up to see a screaming man. He observes the bizarre scene with a twitching eye before tossing  his bottle of vodka aside and going back to the cart  "That's it. No vodka for me anymore."

Chilfroy's eyes would trace the trajectory of the Crow's flight path as he 'flew' across the horizon. An expression of awe would be visible upon his face. "Wow." would be all he'd murmur.

William Worix would look down from the seven skies at the spectacle "Hey, only I fire people from trebuchets!" he'd exclaim as the crow breaks the cloud cover, annoyed that his way of executing Dreadlanders and Courlanders in the past was being used by the very people he practised on.

Millosm lets out a hearty laugh as the crows are sent flying. With Cecilia watching her father, she laughs along with him; she mimics his laugh poorly.
