A Wedding In The South

Svenald Hearth ~ Renee Marchand

Veronese,_The_Marriage_at_Cana_(1563).jpg

The bells ring out in the Lorrainian ducal-seat of Metz, bunting flutters in the wind and the songs of birds and chants mixed with the heat of the south and the exotic wine prove a wonderful setting for a wedding. Noblemen and women converse with their retinues; commoners congregate in the centre of Metz; Jesters show off their new tricks and the guards enjoy a flagon of ale.

Missives would be sent out to commoners and nobles alike, ranging from the golden wheat farms of Lorraine to the windswept snow-layered mountains of the north.

"Should be a lovely occasion." Frederick would objectively comment.

Ruvaen looks around at all the invitations delivered to those within the Court "How come I wasn't invited?" He'd sadly shake his head before going about his daily business.
