The Royal Haensetic Privy Council

In order for men to effectively and efficiently operate a realm for the greater benefit of all its inhabitants, both noble and lowborn, all lords ought to have a council to which they entrust and delegate duties to. With the publishing of this document, this High Council is so ratified and the positions subsequently listed are hereby created under the dominion of Haense, to be led by his Majesty, King Peter I Barbanov.

 

 

[The King’s Moot]: The King’s Moot convenes whenever the great leaders of Haense require conference with each other in audience of the King and Chancellor. A Moot may delay for rest, but shall not end until all active Councilmen are heard and the King reaches final judgement.


 

 

[Chancellor of Haense]: The Chancellor of the North is the King’s right hand and chief advisor. His authority within the realm is therefore second only to the King himself.

[Responsibilities and Rights]:

      May hold court in the absence of his Majesty.

  • May engage in diplomacy with foreign realms.

  • May pass final judgement on smallfolk crime.

  • May temporarily suspend members of the King’s Moot in his Majesty’s absence.

  • May lead forces in times of war and peace.

  • May produce laws of the realm.

 

 


[Constable of Haense]: The Sheriff’s main duty is to oversee all criminal justice throughout the Kingdom of Haense.

 

Occupant: His Right Honorable, Count of Turov, Sergei of House Kovachev (NJBB)

 

  [Responsibilities and Rights] :

 

May appoint Sheriffs to keep the peace within the realm.

  • May order the arrest of nobles and councillors within the Kingdom of Haense.

  • May detain nobles and councillors for trial.

  • May hold trials for smallfolk.

  • May call for the trial of nobles within the realm.

  • May produce laws of the realm.

 

 

 

[Marshal of Haense]: The Marshal has all authority over the armies within Haense. Amidst wartime, the Marshal leads the armies of Haense into battle. In peace, the Marshal must keep the army properly organized and ready for command.

 

Occupant: Ser Osgod of House Colborn (birdnerdy)

 

[Responsibilities and Rights]:

 

  • May arrest any deserters within the armies of Haense.

  • May overturn any military decision within the realm.

  • May call for wargames.

  • May create rosters of all soldierly within the North.

 

 

 

[Steward of Haense]: The Steward is the overseer of land and legislation within the realm of Haense. He deals with the registration and documentation of all council activity, deals with legal documentation, and integrates new council members.

 

Occupant: His Honorable, Ruslan of House Amador (moosehunter123)

 

[Responsibilities and Rights]:

 

  • May order the construction or deconstruction of buildings and projects within the Duchy.

  • May organize duchy-wide events such as tournaments and feast

  • May levy taxes on vassals of the King.

  • May write all legal documents dealing with the Kingdom.

  • May write up the legal documentation dealing with the relief of a Council Member.

  • May write documents dealing with treaties, declarations of war and alliances.

  • May record the history of the realm.

  • May appoint scribes to assist him in realm documentation.
