Orcish Cultural Trophies

Thropies, rewards, blessings, collections, people call things of what they want. Across the spam of time, a plenthora of cultures have gathered traditions, dances, typical and original foods, different diets and different accents, but nothing differs as much as the orcish kin does.

Different from all the other descendants whilst holding some sort of hatred towards them in the most cases, to attempt to represent their superiority, some orcs display openly their achievments for others to see and measure, somehow, their strength. Some just do the weirdest collections, such as the collection of different dragon scales, or even the most simple, such as a collection of different Axios groggs, and some use the loots they have stolen to simply humiliate their enemies with their own weapons, but some of these stick out.

With the comming of the orcish theocracy, with no way of doing direct combat against the other descendants, the use of said thropies became more common, which, somehow, measures the strength of an individual on the encampment. The factor of respect and honour for that orc whom carries thropies must be raised into high consideration. There are a lot of thropies for orcs, but these are the most common ones.

Collars of a Thousand Tusks

Albeit the name on it present, a collar of a thousand tusks would be a collar circled by teeths hanging from them. The only tusks that one might find on the collar would be the tusk of a boar or akin. A full collar might sign the retirement of an orc, after he had slain so many beasts, but the most hardcore make more collars, until their chest or armor is completely covered with the bones hanging from their collars, making a beautiful show, and generally, a sign of veneration to Votar.

Some orcish clans live purely on function of these teeths, and each one must be of a different kin of a beast, meaning that two boar tusks would be invalid. An orc with a legitimate collar could be deeemed even as the champion of Votar, or one that has explored all the corners in the world, sometimes being refered as "The Explorer

Banners

Albeit having a banner for themselves, the most savage and veteran of the orcs enjoy displaying their conquests and prizes. Upon winning a great battle and taking a land for themselves, or a bannerman of the opposing factions, one or two orcs seem to take these banners home, wound them, and carry them around on war, showing their domination whilst serving as a display of strength amongst his kin. The oldest orcs that practice the collection of banners have been seem carrying around ten banners on their backs while they fight with fury, and some of these banners even mirror on the most ancient of the enemies.

A great rarity and prowess would be a legitimately acquired Dom banner created during the time of the clan wars. Its a great honour bestowed for a Lur warrior to carry said banner, but also, they aren't even crafted nowadays, as it has been a millenium since the clan wars.

Heads

Some might think, but in the end, they all agree. The most brutal and common practice of the orcs would be the collection of heads, which were displayed twenty-four hours a day infront of their homes, for all visitors to see. On Vailor, it was the most common practice, and the greatest of the orcs could even open a graveyard. Infront of the city itself, inside the great city and everywhere else, totems and heads that blended well with each other could be seen all the way through the road.

A head could never measure the strength of an orc, but it displayed what he could do to those whom dare to challenge him, or were challenged by him and died in combat. The display of heads is the best way to make little or jokes of your enemy according to the orcish culture.

Armory Items

The only period that orcs were rich in iron was when they could drill as much iron as they wanted, bestowing the name of "The Iron Uzg" to them, which was given by the current Rex. But that period is gone. The orcs began to raid constantly in the need of an increase on their number of armor and swords, somehow creating an anbudancy of items for blacksmiths to re-work upon and forge something anew, eventually becoming the "War Uzg".

Nowadays, after the defeat of the orcs, the mere collection or possession of gear became more uncommon, and some hoard the gear of their fallen enemies to use when the time comes or just to shuffle by when displaying a fe-uruk "Look, I got this weapon on 1573 when I killed some human raiders, Shabala."

Mage Staves

magic_staff_by_dekker3d.png

When someone looks at one of these, its easy to deduct that it doesn't belongs to the orc in question, specially of the fact that voidal magic is an abomination to them, so they recycle or use said staves in humilhiating ways, the same goes for the druii's. For example, a staff with an edge might be used to pick teeths, a staff made purely out of wood, even if its the primal staff of a druid, is used to feed a campfire. They generally get the worst fate, but some collect them, and some even have the audacity to re-sell the staves back to their original owners.

The collection and harming of staves was also far more common during the War Uzg period.
