Horns Sound from the Deep

The wizened and aging Ireheart would approach his clansmen as they gathered about them their various armaments. "Steady yourselves laddies, this war will be hard and bloody, but long as we live, the Black Dragon must be destroyed. 'Tis a cancer on man and makes 'em act as blood thirsty Starks." Although few ever did heed his words, a consensus of murmuring would non the less echo through the deep halls and hollowed crevices.

Velwyn gathers his Ireheart brothers, long had they enjoyed the peace in which they lay their axes, but it was no ache to them that they might once again slay Orenians.

Orsino would work away at his forge, the High Elf King would ready his people for the war in every way he could.

Jon glances over a particular missive, written in a curling and expressive script.  His hands would neatly fold it, sliding it into a dossier marked 'Urguan.'  He would close his eyes for a moment, running his fingers across his face.  "If war is to come, I'd prefer it come quietly and go in silence," he would shrug to Cedrik, glancing up from his papers as Prince Karl would enter the room.

Viktor would belt his longsword to his side, looking over his family and bannermen "To battle then."

((Define 'Losing half your territory' because if I recall correctly the Dwarves only lost two siege battles, the Orenians successfully took control of Rhewengrad and Kal'Valen which is around 20% of the Dwarven territory. In terms of battles, Oren won all the skirmishes (which is expected due to their sheer numbers), but sieges, Oren won a total of 2 and the Dwarves won a total of 3, this supports the idea of a stalemate due to how both sides lost and won during the war. Now, this means that the Dwarves technically didn't lose at all and they did not lose half their territory at all. The war also ended due to both sides mutually agreeing on peace through the 'Treaty of West Avar', making it both side's best interest to end the war due to the length of time it had lasted for and the 'victory then defeat' continuation. If you wish to consolidate your knowledge on the topic please do read https://wikia.lordofthecraft.net/index.php?title=Eighteen_Years'_War))

Vidar Frostbeard would raise his war axe into the air before exclaiming "Dese 'umris have foug't us behfor' an' dey knuw w'ot dere contendin' wif', dis toime owr forts ar' even strongah!" chuckles before he prepares for another long and bloody war between dwarves and humans.

(( "Half" was used moreso as an expression, however the Dwarves lost territory and didn't do what they set out to do which was to dismantle the Empire which was the start up of the war as per the wiki states. While the Imperial Side being the defenders not only defended their Empire but expanded ergo they won. I didn't have any stake during the war and was an opponent of it for some time in Oren as I felt we had set out what we needed to do and after the conquest of Avar we had proven a point. Since Oren was not the aggressor and maintained its borders and expanded them they are logically the winner. ))

Orsino pulls a blade out of the forge, placing it into the water as he'd continue to forge his mastercrafted weaponry for the conflict to come. In his mind lingered the thought that the Dwarves only had to remove Uruks off of their land whom they had no stake in defending to ensure peace in the realm. He sighs continuing his work, not pleased in sending his people into conflict in which he holds no stake in.

Bolgnir Irongut would close his old book, dust puffing out from it " Bloody 'ell " he'd say, putting the book down on his desk, grabbing his axe.

"If ye fink abou' it, none ov' t'is woulda' 'appened 'ad Oren not killed Nalro Gray'ammer back in An'tos. Oren n' tehre damned warmongerin'.... "says an experienced Bastion Ireheart who was told the stories by his father Igor Ireheart, who killed many a Orenian soldiers, nearly singlehandedly most of the time.

"So it's to be war after all," a concerned elf said with a sigh. "I'm not half broke from the last one," he grumbled, off to get horses and supplies for the army.

A former Vigil guard commander sits in his quarters somewhere in Savoy, sprinkling salt over this 'Ilatian' dish he dared to try: a 'pasta' with a tomato sauce. Trying a bite and nodding, he receives a note calling him to battle. He groans so loudly the trees in front of Johannesburg tremble, before rising at a plodding pace in frustration, exclaiming something about dwarven forts. He then sits back down and returns to doing something more productive, like reading some scrolls he copied from the Haelun'or library over his many years' tenure in the Vigil.
